Hope everyone elase waiting has as much joy as me very soon.
As an aside I never did receive the 1st email and had to manually apply.

No Cahoot are not yet part of the Fastpay system. There is a useful tool on the APACS site http://www.apacs.org.uk/sortcodechecker/index.html
which you can use to check if the receiving account can accept Fastpay
Also depends, I think, on whether the sending bank is a member0 -

Still no second e-mail for me yet, but not worried, a fair bit of time left yet...0

Just received second e-mail Friday 16.41!
Now I'm confused as to what to do about my fixed term deposits - as if I haven't had long enough to decide! I was planning to leave them till maturity , but am now not sure, because (1) by then will there be any decent rates on any other accounts, if not I might as well have it now, whilst I've still got some good accounts running.
(2) They all have annual interest. I'm not clear whether the two year ones will pay up that interest. How does any one else understand the FSCS's rules on this? I think I'm clear that those under a year will pay the interest on maturity.
(3) Does anyone know if you have to initiate all the accounts at once or can I do them one at a time/ separately?
Thanks for advice.0 -
FSCS statement says they will cover the interest accrued on FTBs left to mature - no room for misinterpretation IMHO.
I believe you have to decide for all of your accounts at the same time, although, for the avoidance of doubt, they can be different decisions.
If the 2 year ones have a year or more to run most people consider it a 'no brainer'... leave 'em.
Now 4/5 months is a bit of a dilemma...:think:0 -
