Oh I'm so lucky I get free tea and coffee's at work!! I would never have a NSD without!
And I know I'm so lucky with my Mom - She always treats me when she know I'm working hard at the weekend, she works in a supermarket so can pick up cheap food sometimes when it's reducedI have a freezer full of meat and cake bars in my fridge, so no excuse for buying anything other then veggies for the moment!! (Better stock up today actually if I'm going to make my 3 NSDs!) Good luck with yours!!

You definitely sound back on track Elizabeth and very upbeat too which is good to hear! What a sweetie your mum is helping you out like that!
I get free tea and coffee too luckily, but Aniya do you have access to free hot water or a kettle? You could try bringing in fruit/herbal teabags to save yorself a bit of money?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Hello Tete en l'Air, :hello:
Yes we do have a kettle here in the warehouse, just no sink fascilities. I use this kettle (with the teabags I've brought in) during the day, then on my breaks I do use the drinks machine, I can't make a drink and take it to the lunch room unfortunately as we're not allowed to take liquids through the warehouse areas. I should just not drink on my breaks I think
60p away from an NSD is annoying and it sounds like nothing but it is £3 a week, £12 a month and £144 a year! :eek:0 -
Yikes, that's such a lot when you add it up! And what a pain about the no-drinks-in-the-warehouse-safety-schmafety rules! Perhaps no drink breaks are the way to go, or try to get down to 20p a day?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Yes I think so too Tete en l'Air... No drinks on breaks are the way to go, I want more NSD!
And Elizabeth, got to love that reduced food at the supermarket. I don't know about you guys but never before have I gone to the 'Whoopsies' - but now I have and it can be a treasure trove! Who needs a perfectly formed soup tin anyway... :rotfl:

Yes - I can understand it'd be just hell to go a day without tea or coffee... maybe make sure you have a drink just before you leave your desk for lunch!! If that's the only thing you're spending on all day though, you're doing brilliant!!
I just spent £3.28 on lunches and veggies for dinner. This includes ingredients for Veggie Chilli which I've promised a friend for dinner on the Friday (Will put in slow cooker on the morning) I've planned Jam Sandwiches for 3 days, and as I have a work lunch (work paying) Friday then I shouldn't need to spend anymore this week!!
I'm really tempted to make up a little pack of PJ's and nail varnish and face masks etc for my friend as we're having a sleep over and I just love buying people suprises... maybe I could allow myself a £5 budget to do that Friday? That's not excessive and she's been such a good friend to me since the whole break up!!
I'm sure I could get PJ's cheap in Primark and then facemask or nail varnish in pound shop??
Actually I might see what beauty things I already have - and then just not spend anything?? Will have a look later and see if I can treat her from what I already have got!! I'm sure if I've got bath salts could do us both foot baths, I already have loads of nail varnishes just need to find them! Ha - definitely the way I need to be thinking... ok so lets see if I can make Friday a NSD as wellDebt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
Oh and Aniya - I always pop into Somerfield opposite my work at lunch (when I'm not NSDing!) as they reduce food to 50% from 12pm - this is where I pick up most of my food for the week!! Nothing good there today though!!Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270

Well done on the about-turn there!! :money:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Ha ha - yes I was thinking that as I wrote it! I'm making her dinner, have a bottle of wine (birthday present) and if I see what beauty treats I've already got then surely that's enough of a treat!!? This is where I fall up - so definitely got to get back into the every penny counts attitude!
No treats until the debt is gone!!!
No more reduced shoes (even if they are a bargain)!! No more books!! (I got a load for my birthday and there's the library and friends to borrow off) No more meals out!! (Even if I haven't seen a friend for ages there's other ways to catch up) Meal Planning and packed lunches every day!! And no more drinking when I'm out!! (In fact hopefully if I get a weekend job I won't even be going out!)Debt Free since 2012Current Savings £1,400Current Mortgage £143,398.270 -
