Hi all - I hope you dont mind me jumping in here, but this thread is so long, its impossible to catch up with all of it!

Ive just started making cards - I tried some last christmas and they were not at all good, but Ive bought myself some bits and bobs for cards and am going to give it another go.

Ive started putting hampers together, and wanted to make pretty tags to go with them, which has kinda progressed into cards!

I must admit Im somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of stuff you can buy and the choice available. but Ive bought some bits and bobs and will see how I go with that!

Im sure I will be back when it arrives looking for some help and advice! I hope thats ok, but your cards are all so fab! xx

Just wanted to apologise as I haven't commented on anyones cards or posted on here for a couple of days.

    Saveapenny, hope all went ok.

Just wanted to let you guys know that my crafty mojo has completely vanished, I ended up using a card I had previously made for DS's teacher as a thankyou. but I seriously can't make cards hence no posts on here. I have tidied up all of my stash and have now put it all in the garage. I have some stamps which I need to put up for sale on ebay (unless I can sell through craftyplace?) and I also plan to sell my big squeeze which has only been used twice and also all of the dies for that that I have accumulated.

Feel a bit better for the craft stash being in the garage to be honest, not sure whats up with me but feel so low and can't pull my finger out to get anything done. I will still come on and look at all the beautiful cards but please forgive me if I don't reply to the posts or anything!

I had a good few months like that, towards the end of last year and beginning of this year, almost contemplated giving up. I started doing the comps on the comps forum on here instead as a new hobby. That took over completely for a fair few months and then all of a sudden WHOOSH my mojo came back a month or so ago so don't lose heart, it happens but something will unexpectedly spark it back to life again :) Why not try something else crafty apart from cards - there are lots of challenge sites (take a peep on my blog sidebar) I've just done a challenge in Post Secret stylee - it all keeps the creative juices flowing :)

I look on it as my mojo going on holiday (without telling me) a pain in the bum but it will come back.

eta: Hi Jo :) I'm not much help as am not really a cardmaker, I'm a scrapbooker and alterer I just lurk in here for the crafty chat ;)
:staradminHuuuuuuge thank you hugs to all posters:staradmin

Trumpets!! Drum roll!! ......... Dragonllew won Funky Fairy's challenge!!

Rusty so sorry to hear you've lost your mojo, it's something that happens to us all. It will come back, promise. Sometimes I seem to get divine inspiration but most of the time me bum's on the floor looking for the elusive mojo. Don't bury it all too deeply in the garage, it will be back.

Popkins your embossed pocket card is gorgeous:T Im looking forward to getting mine :D

Rusty my prize came this morning thank-you so much. I have left comments on CP. I'm sorry to hear your feeling a bit down at the moment and not up to crafting. I wish I had a £1 for everytime I thought about selling my crafty stuff and then being glad I didn't. We all have times when it just seems easier to go buy one from the shop cos everytime we try to make one it ends up in the bin! Please dont give up, and dont give up posting either, I love to read your posts xx

I've got a question for those that print their own papers. I've just tried to print a black pattern paper and it's awful. More grey than black. Is it me or the printer or the paper? Anyone ever got a good print?

I printed this backing paper from a funky fairys download. I set the printer properties to photo quality (but not best photo quality) and printed it onto cheap white card. I was very please with how well it printed; the pattern is very crisp. HTH x

Rusty - sounds like recent events have caught up with you. I'm sure you'll get your mojo back soon. To add to what flourgirl said, please don't feel that can't post. It'd be nice to hear from you even if you haven't made any cards or commented on others' cards. I'm sure no-one would begrudge you that! Take care x
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
