EMOC thanks for link fab stickers.
rainmac- i think i understand 29 cm long and score at 14 cm so 2 halves 14 cm and 15cm. So basically ill make smaller sq cards to make an pocket envelope from one A4 sheet.
    great teacher cards btw.

    Good morning ladies

    Hope everyone is well?

I've not posted for ages, just been busy working and doing some more phlebotomy training  so not had much time to do any crafting.

There's been some beautiful cards made lately by everyone. I hope those of you who have been poorly are feeling better now. Anyone who's been on holiday has had a lovely time? And hello to everyone else really!

Anyway, I had no option but to make some cards yesterday, as it's my OH's birthday tomorrow and my Mum's on Tuesday. I also made a card (the one with the giraffe and the African image) for my friend, Jane, who's originally from Kenya and who invited us to an African wedding last weekend, which was absolutely fab.

I'm quite happy with most of them, but not sure about my OH's (the blue one) - lol. The one with D & D on the front is from the kids to OH - lol.

The one with the bridge and the one with the hotel on the front are of the town where I was born. My Mum is 91 on Tuesday and I thought she may be fed up getting flower cards etc, so the card with the hotel on the front is the actual house where she was born and brought up (although as you can see they've turned it into a hotel now!) but I thought it might bring back some nice memories for her. The bridge has had a shppping centre built over it for the past few years, but it was a lovely old bridge before that.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend and managing to cope with the heat!

    Sal

I do not own a cuttlebug but have been v tempted to get one at the bargain price and as I love all the affects you can get with one so I admit I am a bit envious of you bug babes! But look forward to seeing what you can create with it!

Thank you EmmaOC for the link showing your cupcake stickers I will be keeping an eye out for them as they are fab! Wished i'd looked in waterloo station paperchase now as my train was delayed so I had loadsa time!

Rainmac your teacher card is fab and I love the idea for the teacher survival kit and might just pinch that is that's ok!

Sorry, sorry, sorry, meant to reply earlier but forgot (my brain is fried with the heat ). The current fantasy challenge does end tomorrow night.

Does anyone fancy setting the new challenge on Tuesday???

Sal, your cards are fantastic and I love the stories behind them, makes them all the more special. Hope you are enjoying being busy at work and not being worked too hard!!! The African wedding sounds great and the giraffe card is my favourite of the ones you posted x

I made a card last night for my son's reception teacher and a teacher's survival kit. Also another pocket card but this time it is made from A5 cards and using the lush new Lemonade papers by Basic Grey... http://rainmacsplace.blogspot.com/
Rainmac if you don't mind I wondered what did you put in your teacher survival kits as might make some for ds and dd teachers?

    Hello everyone.

I'm currently in the garden watching the children in the paddling pool - perfect!

The walk last night was really good fun - walking the streets with a couple of hundred other women in matching t shirts - I think we looked like the worlds biggest hen party!

Melissa - congrats on the nappy cake order and the bargains in Asda.

Rusty - sounds like a fab shopping expedition.

What about all these cuttlebugs - we'll be hearing about a world shortage soon. I've only had a really brief play on mine but I love it already - the embossing is just so crisp. BUg babes sounds cool though..

MArg - I'm intrigued by the rude stamp Riusty - will you let us know?

Kim- your ice cream cards are lovely - are they pink petticoat?

Rainmac- your teacher card is fab. Reminds me that I wanted to do a surfy dude one for my DS's Yr 1 teacher.

Will hopefully get a chance to do a couple of cards tonight when the boys are in bed and DH is at the gym! I think I shall be buggling too!

Enjoy the sunshine - wherever you are.
