Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

Hels - I've got the x-cut guillotine - with the 15% discount code it's £17. My cutting is really appalling (probably because I'm left-handed but can only cut with scissors in my right hand!), so this guillotine has made a huge difference. I love that it takes 12x12 paper, and cuts perfectly every time - the built in ruler is a bonus.
For colouring stamped images, I like my copics ciao markers for skin tone and blush, but I prefer pro-markers for everything else (I've only got 5 pro-markers though).some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Jailhouse Babe is the 15% still available cos I keep thinking about a cuttlebug, and that might just sway me0

I have a woodware gilotine which comes with different blades, straight, scoring, scallop, wavy etc i think it was 14.99. I can recomend it.
I bought magazine "beautiful cards" today and guess what was in it--- pocket card envelopes, tho maybe thats where it originated from and im behind the times!0 -

I reckon Beautiful Cards have been sneakily looking at out work and then thought they should feature pocket cards in their next issue:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Rainmac I love your wallet card, I just knew you would love making one (several lol) did you decorate the inside with papers too, I think I will try it on the next one especially if I want to sell them. What do you think?
I didn't decorate the inside this time but did think that I could on another one, I think the wallet idea is very versatile:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Flourgirl - Yes, I've been double lucky this month 'cos your ATC was fantastic too.
Love your latest cards..... and the roses - What a bargain!
No I've not seen those stamps but then I can't/don't stamp. I certainly prefer the look of those to the other childlike images I see on here. (Did someone call them the 'noseless ones'?) LOL
Hels102 I use an old DHALE paper trimmer with a slightly wonky cutting wheel until I can justify getting a new one! I've posted a claim for the lost parcel - I'll let you know how it goes.....
Jailhouse I say all the best people are left handed!! but I would 'cos I'm LH too. I can't cut straight even with LH scissors and friends cringe & run away when they see me with a breadknife. I use knife & fork RHanded.0 -
Rainmac do you know if there is still 15%off Craft Superstore please? I do know the 500 bonus points for a £40 spend ends Sunday midnight.0

Sorry don't know, haven't succumbed to the lure of Craft Superstore or a Cuttlebug...yet...
I've just logged on, added a Cuttlebug to my basket and used the PC22 code and it took the 15% off, just didn't go through with the order...! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0
