hello everyone just just signing in from thailand
can anyone tell me who my partner is for the may stash swap.
managed to buy some nice bits over here, big bag of buttons for 4 quid and some handmade paper for 20p for two sheets ( really thick stuff ).
only got two more days left here so trying to find more stuff.

    Morning all :D

Mumhug - hope you're feeling loads better. I also have no idea what that illness is! :o
OAP - good to see you back; I hope you manage a half decent break before another episode.
Marg and npsmama - this is definitely the place to come to have a rant; I love how everyone on this thread is so supportive. I think between us we have experienced all types of hardship so find it very easy to emphasise.

I will not do any crafting today - I have sooooo much decluttering and housework to do. My bedroom has slowly morphed into a (very messy) craft room, so have to sort all that out. Then tomorrow morning my best friend is coming round to help me declutter my front reception room downstairs. It's such a waste of space - I rented it out for a couple of years after we moved in, but for the last 5 years it has essentially been a junk room. :o
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

Rusty - I'll check out the glitter pot for the card blanks - I am addicted to using scalloped cards now!!!
Salesadmin - I bet your glad that you didn't get the folders now!!! Can't wait to see some of your creations with the basic grey kit!!
Debsy - hope you're having a fab time in Thailand!
Mrs Tidge - that's a great price for the purple cow trimmer!!! I'll be using my new bit of kit today!!
Jailhousebabe - my house is so cluttered!! There's four of us living here - soon to be five and its so small - its only a tiny terrace, I find it a daily battle trying to organise things!!
Mumhug - we're partners in the stash swap - I'll send you a pm!!!

Hi Npsmama - sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday - hope things are better today. Does your Mum live with you? Sorry Daft question! It's very hard to deal with that, whether or not, I knew someone who had it it caused havoc for his family.

Mumhug - I know people who have that too! It's nasty isn't it? Sadly, as OAP says it does tend to recur, try to keep well & don't get overtired - easier said than done.

JHB - To the best of my knowledge - It's an infection in the balance part of your ears that makes you extremely dizzy and sick if you move and can last for days! (I'm not a medic it's just what I've been told)
Good Luck with the de cluttering and reclaiming your space! I'm a bit calmer today thank goodness!! Mind you, I'm here on my own so no one to upset me........Yet!

Debsy - enjoy your last couple of days!

The wife - sorry in my rant yesterday forgot to say how lovely I thought your lilac cards were, so many all slightly different, FAB.

Melissa - There's only 2 of us in our house but we are both untidy - I try to hide my clutter upstairs but DH doesn't & I feel like I'm fighting a losing battle to keep 'public' rooms fit to be seen.

Talking of which must go & do some housework.......

    'Bye for now

Aww hope everyone is feeling a bit better today.

Glad it's not just me who needs to de-clutter we only moved here in feb and the garage is packed to the rafters and the inside is still waiting to have stuff unpacked. There are 10 of us here at the moment. but 3 leave on monday hurrah . 1 leaves when his visa comes through and another one when the builders finish at his house. until then we go with the flow .lol

Thank you all for your support.

My mum doesn't live with us - she lives in France (both my parents are French but I am anything but!!) and comes to visit periodically. She's here until Monday. She broke our printer last night :(.
She's always been bipolar and growing up with that was very tough on us kids. My siblings refuse to have more than limited contact with her - I guess I fell I can't do that to her. Sometimes she is 'normal' but 80% of the time she's very unpredictable and can be dangerous - especially as I have toddlers. Small things like leaving the hot water on full blast could be disastrous if my 3 yo gets to it before I do.
In one way, the hardest thing is that she lies a lot - either deliberately or not - she swore she didn't leave the water on but I know she did bc I had the kids with me and there's no one else in the house! She'll do other things like offer to make a cup of coffee and then when you drink it you realise it's a mixture of tea and coffee _pale_. So I don't let her cook anything or even feed the kids bc I just don't know what she puts in things or gives the kids.
I know she's ill and I try my best to be patient and kind but it can be very trying.

DH is back late tonight. He'll be greeted like the meesiah I think!!

Sorry, this post has nothing to do with crafting and I'm sure you don't want to hear about it all.
