Jailhousebabe - thanks - I've got the love and friendship sheets, mine are the same - a lot of them have designs on them that make it impossible to use them on a card.
    Dragonflew - welcome back!
Saveapenny - hope you feel better soon.

Giving a stash of cards as a present is a lovely idea!! Thank you so much for mentioning it.

postpals is a wonderful initiative - i've just checked the site and there's a little girl who loves cardmaking and who 'needs a little encouragement' this month! I just hope I won't say/write anything that will make her/her family feel worse.

npsmama don't be so hard on yourself - your cards are fab. I was looking at your blog as my ds2 was trying to decide what card to make for OH's birthday. he saw the one of Edwin (is that what he is called?) sitting in the circle and said that's what I want to make so he has made one almost identical - hope you don't mind!
I am the opposite - someone asked me to make cards for them and I said no! I don't think my cards are good enough and whilst I don't mind giving them to people cos I have made them i don't think they are good enough to sell and for others to give - lack of confidence I suppose and maybe I will get over it!

rusty glad you had a good day. is the hancock musuem the one with the egyptian exhibition or is that the north east museum?

she grinch fab 18th birthday card - love the photo:T

sorry to hear you are not well again saveapenny - hope you feel better soon

Thanks for the idea about giving a box of cards.
It also means I can use the bodyshop boxes that I have stashed under the spare bed tht are no good for hampers but too good to just dump :D

npsmama - your cards are fab - and I loved my ATC that I got from you in the swap - it was really pretty and thoughtful. I have problems getting rid of my cards too - the only people that ask for my cards are my inlaws - everyone else would rather go to a shop and pay $$$$$$ for a card -but never mind. I think that as long as you get pleasure from making them that's all that matters.

I'm following a charity fundraising blog on www[dot]justfourquid[dot]com that gives a new moneysaving tip each week and asks people to donate a bit of the saving to the charity. This week the blogger has been explaining how to make really good-looking cards (she says friends can't tell them from shop-bought and they even frame them!). She does them out of photos, pictures from mags and even rectangles of pretty wrapping paper stuck onto card blanks for around 15p. There's a photo of some of them and they look really good - it's on her blog of 2nd June (you need to scroll down, it's the second post).

People have been sending in comments saying they've followed her tips and reckon they've saved £20 on a year's worth of cards by not buying the equivalent on the High Street. I think even I can do these!

Padster - I love your 'fat' Rennie Macintosh cards/pages.

She grinch - What a good idea for an 18th card, I always find it hard to get suitable cards for young men but something on these lines would be good for any of my nephews (I'd have to use baby/child pics of them)

Saveapenny - sorry to hear you are poorly again - hope you feel better soon & avoid hospital. Have you managed to sort your holiday?

Dragonllew - Welcome back - Glad you had a good time? Where did you go?

Npsmama - Got your pm - envelopes ready for posting
