I'm just about to start on the sailing boat one posted a few days ago.
can I ask what type of thread you used, did you go out and buy what it says on the instructions or did you improvise, say with cross stitch thread?[/QUOTE

Hi I am reallly sorry but I can't tell you what I used . There is no name or anythin on the pack.My mum got me them they are a bit like a thin wire. But I would think embroidery silk would do. Flourgirl is the stitching expert.

Rusty/flourgirl - the eva are nice - very pink. Here are the ones that I have so far: sultry, sugared, archaic, cupcake, boxer, eva, offbeat, mellow, infuse, porcelain, granola and on order are lime rickey and wisteria. I think the ones I need to complete my collection are ambrosia, bittersweet, phoebe, and periphery - how sad am I???

Ok so I have edited your post .....
I only have 2  and the odd single sheet of others which you and also Flourgirl very kindly donated to me :D
I would love all of them!! I have to admit, when you and rainmac first started off with them I wondered what all of the hype was about and thought you were both crazy ....

But the quality is absolutely lovely! they are so thick and do actually match with the papers in the rest of the pack unlike some others that claim to ;) They are my faves ever in the whole world :rotfl:

I am actually hoping my grandad sends me some pennies for my birthday (he normally asks but hasn't this year so I think he might have bought me something) if he sends me pennies I will order a couple of other pads ;)

    Hi Everyone

I've made this New Baby card today for my other half's work colleague, even though she's not due until June, but for a change I'm organised.

I wondered if you thought a new baby card was ok done in black and white, or if you thought it was a bit naff??

I did the other 2nd one with D & D papers which I bought at the weekend, thought they were really nice?

And just for good measure, I had to do a sympathy card, unfortunately, for a lovely man who died at the weekend.

Cross stitch thread is perfect, I just use 1 strand though. The varigated threads look really effective, especially if you only want to use one colour it gives the effect of shading.

Hi Popkins - thanks a lot. The blue and purple stuff is D & D which I got from my local craft shop.

The paper on the sympathy card is Papermania - which I got from the last Artymiss sale - I just made the topper part.

The black and white one is just white card, black card, a photograph and some little feet which were from a punch. The letters I already had, and the flowers.

Thanks for kind comments from you too Mary.
