Rainmac - I didn't realise that the glitter pot sold the card candy too. I'll have to check out those scalloped cards on there.
Mookybargirl - that's a fab idea - doing craft starter kits on the car boot. I was thinking of doing one for my neice for xmas - every time she visits me she always pleads "can I make a card?", I've already given her a few things, but I thought I could do her a really nice set for xmas with some felt tips, stamped images and blank cards etc.
F1widow - welcome to the thread - I hope you're going to post some pics of your creations!
Flourgirl - I'm not surprised she loved the hamper - it was lovely!
I've been trying to clear my house out today - I am exhausted!!! I've got quite a bit of card making stuff that I'm never going to use - so if anybody wants it - it yours! I've got a lot of a4 oriental papers and some a4 oriental sticker sheets, plus some 4x4 squares of handmade paper and another folder of stuff that I've not even looked through yet. There's plenty there for a few people. So let me know if you're interested - I don't want any money for it, and I can't be bothered listing it on ebay but it wont get posted until the middle of next week probably.

    Hi Melissa

Could I be a wee bit cheeky and ask you if you've got anything red at all please?

    Sal

Stunning card flourgirl - left a comment on your blog.

I'd like to give the stitched cards a go and have previously bookmarked some christmas tree templates, that I think you must have linked to a while ago. Can I ask where you get you embroidery thread from and what you use - I had a look in a little old fashioned wool shop near home the other day, and they only sold something called Jester SI 100% Cotton, they had a fair few colours, but I'm guessing this isn't what is needed to make stunning card's like yours.

    Thanks

I normally use DMC or Anchor ordinary embroidery/cross stitch thread but only use 1 strand, the glittery threads are Madeira metallics or rainbow which I bought from Hobbycraft. If you want some DMC just let me know what colour, I have 100s. I will find the link for the patterns for you.

The cards this lady makes are beautiful and very inspiring IMHO

Can I be very cheeky and ask if anyone has the Barefoot Tilda stamp? :o

Thanks for the information Flourgirl - i'll have a think of what I might like to do and they maybe ask you if you have a patten that might be suitable - thanks for the offer.

My OH told me today that my MIL loved the 'pink socks' we did for his brother's birthday the other day, and thinks we should try to make a card for her. She is a real good 'sewer' (is that a word?) and used to work at Hampton Court Palace restoring old tapestries, so I thought it might be nice to do a stitched birthday card for her - have plenty of time to do it as her birthday isn't until October.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Gemm,

Have a fabulous time in Dubai - I am so so jealous of you :p. If you get a chance go on the open top big bus tour. It has too 'lines' to it, think they are red and blue. Both of them are hop on and offs - the first one will take you around the city, and the second one will take you around the expensive hotels around the Jumeirah Beach area. If you do the city line, make sure you get off at the Gold Souk, and go and see all the gold shops - they are amazing, and I managed to get my OH to buy me a 18ct 10 diamond eternity ring - we'd only been married a week at the time, but I wore it from the day we bought it as I didn't want to wait the year that you should :rotfl::rotfl:! Although it was £400 it would have cost of £1,000 back in the UK.

Totally know what you mean about coming back to a clean house.

    xx
