Making cards - Ideas for a card craft beginner (part 2)

Hi Zoe - I have a pdf file with suggestions incorporating paper butterflies. I can't describe it very well; essentially you can use any colour magazine to cut and fold the butterfly, then use it to adorn a card. One of the suggestions is that you also use a photo of the recipient's garden.
If you want to pm me your email I'll send it over, I'll also have a look and see if I cn find where I downloaded it from and post the link.

Also, I think you have to take it as a sign that you just shouldn't be cleaning! Lol, hope your finger feels better soon x

Zoe - can't find the butterfly one exactly; it's somewhere in this selection of 48 magazines!

Did spot this lovely flower card though - think I might try this one myself.

To all who asked about the flowers they are park of Pink Petticoat blooming monogram range I was going to link to it but it seems as if they have been took off the website for now
But I suppose you could do it by printing a plain colour on a sheet of paper then reversing in and printing the daisy shape on the reverse side or puting A4 printed paper in your printer

If anyone wants any PM me whith what colours you want and I will post some to you

OK this week schalleng is a sketch one
Here are the rules ( guidlines really)
You must stick to the sketch but can add to it
You can use any materials you want
You can use any theme you want ...thats it
I made this one so I havnt took it from anyother site....just made it for us lot

Are these the exact sizes that we need to make our card with? Thanks for confirming how you do the flowers.

and will be making one for mothers day with some pretty papers and ribbon. with a Banner saying Happy Mothers day attached to the top of the base bit of paper before you fold the other 2 sheets onto it. Would you have enough bits an pieces to make your mum one of these?? Thoughts I'd add tags saying 'You're the best'; I'm honoured you're my mum; thanks for all you do. Will be writing nice words for the inside of the card too. I made my mum a christmas ocard, and she told me that it made her cry particular with the words I'd written. Nothing or no-one makes my mum cry!

Tigzem...its empty now just tell me what size you want and in what colours
CT ...no its not to scale you can make it any shape or size as long as it as all the elemnets of the sketch.
ZL..the beauty of this sketch is there are lots of small pieces so any scrap you have will make it..Im sure it will be lovely
Tigzem...once you have brought what you want you get an email through with downlaod links or if you buy them on CD it takes a few days to come , Then you jsut either unzip and downlaod from the email or load the CD on its very easy...I have just brought the new Sundae range and its lovley. Then is yours forever and can make as many cards as you like from it

ZL..do you call her Mom or Mum? I will have a go at doing a monogram for you

ZL just found this ..Printed in black and just the wording on a plaque ...or even printed on velum and done as a wrap tied on with white ribbon then a plaque with wording on it would look really nice

Hi sorry for not replying sooner for some reason I do not get the email telling me when there is replys.

Thanks for the links and offers, I will think through all that. At the moment I have a 5 year old who thinks she is a yo yo. She has been up and down stairs for at least 25 minutes.

Saveapenny I call her mum lol I do some times put mom, by mistake as I use an american parenting site a lot.

Finger is healing, when I let it rest lol just been sketching a small person.

CT thanks for admiring my card, it is meant to have tags in the slots. I do have a picture of it with tags but I have lost my memory card reader and my usb lead is on strike. I think I would have enough to make one for my mum but think I might try my hand at something else lol.

I am not that close to my mum so does not need to be too mushy.
