i had some shopping vouchers from an incentive at work and used them to buy a toilet seat (ours has broken at the hinges and moves to one side when you sit on it)a christmas tree (dont usually bother but i have children visiting during december and feel - or rather guilt tripped - i must make the effort) a few decorations (for said tree) and weed killer for the garden (spent 5 hours sorting out - still more too do sat and sun) and i still have £30 vouchers left. its not real spending as its free vouchers!! i also opened a letter from the company i paid off a loan too and found they had overcharged by £97 and it is due into my account any day.

also i drove my parents to get the bus to heathow at silly oclock this morning - and have put a big bag of perishables in my fridge today (milk, cheese, veggies, salad) - so no need to do shopping for an extra few days.

    Things I've done/will do today:
    * Made ds packed lunch with left over pasta from last nights dinner
    * eaten home made stew from freezer
    * Paid £2 for DS to go to xmas party n see santa (cheep day out for him!)
    * I will wash clothes and hang out to dry in living room
*Only have heating on in living room

    Thats it for now!

....Energy bottling, labelling, listing and ebay posting to do.

Great stuff - hmm lodgers yeah they do add to the list now I clean and feel amazingly dfw as its for him (not us of course!!)

Whoops best watch out SM will be telling us all off for being naughty and posting so much............ yesterday there was 60+ responses to keep her busy!! (I blame the silly wee men)

Here they would call them the 'peedie folk' (peedie=wee or little), my favourite expression is for 'peedie-breeks' (for 'children' ie those wearing short trousers)

Nope enjoying the thread - found this dot especially for you fay wool.gif does it look like one of yours??

This one is Andan writing her lists writer.gif.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Miss Piggy.

Ooh i especially like mine and Fay's dotty people, fits us to a tea!! Thanks Sophiesmum:A

Tallie, thanks for the tips re buying in bulk and buying things now for christmas, haven't started doing that yet but you have tempted me to get the ball rolling, especially as i will be staying down South this Christmas. I also rarely buy in bulk but would like to start, just need to use products up instead of buying new ones!!:rotfl:

  • hello hope every one has had a good day.
hope you have a lovely bday miss piggy,
i didnt have a great day with saving today! spent to much tonight at a aromatheraphy party i went to, but have told hubby its my bday present from him so not to bad!! Also do you know the amount of things tea tree oil can be used for!?!?!?!?
Anyway went to a toddler group, drunk there tea used there heating etc etc so got to be some saving there? then had tesco delivered.
went for my scan (baby looked lovely and everything looked fine for dates etc) and nobody asked for any money for the scan pic, so i didnt mention it either?!?! so saved there.....
then drunk friends tea all night and spent lots on the nice things that i cant wait to use......honest they will save money in the long run as they can be used for so many things (trying to convince myself its been a good spend....)
anyway did do a 30 wash and aired dried it so thats good.

tomorrow i will do better and have a nsd..
