...have you tried accessing the Icesave site via address at top of your screen ie not via a favourites tab......it could be a spam site......0

Well guys, looks like I am stuffed
Just spent 20minutes on the phone to what i thought was icesave, but its actually FSCS and it appears that there is something wroing with how my account is set up and not linked to the web, they can view my balance, but there is no one who can actually amend the technical side. Initially they queried if i had the 2nd email and now they say that no one can re-link it or make it work as they are just advisors and cannot fix errors on accounts, if I can't see the initiate button.
Basically (And I have since now tried on my mums Pc, Husbands at work, firefox and my internet explorer) i now sadly have to wait for paper claims
Thanks for the screen shot Baldur, I couldn't attach mine so there is a link and you will see I don't get the blue line, with your accounts underneath, and everytime i click on "View accounts" i just get the same screen again.

Yep i always log in via www.icesave.co.uk manually, think I am resided to the fact that I have to now wait.
Apart from setting up memorable data etc, I had never actually viewed my account balance online being ISA, so reckon its always been like it

Oh dear, that's a shame after receiving the 'go ahead'!
Thankfully I haven't got very much in it and its not my everyday account as with some, hope no-one else has any problems, me and my husband both have the same thing, have since checked his, although he hasn't had 2nd email yet, but checked my dads and he can view balances, so at least hes ok.0 -
Edit, too slow lol
That looks really unlucky. I wonder if your account was actually setup properly in the first place.
I can't believe you never went on to check how your balance was though, even if it was an ISA :eek:0 -
Hi, I wonder if anyone has the same problem, I will of course try contacting ICESAVE tommorow but am a little confused, I recieved my 2nd email on the 11th, but have only been able to try logging in today.
I login to my icesave account (I have an ISA) and get the following standard message;
Application You may now apply to be paid compensation.
By completing this process you will be agreeing to the following:- that your details, including your selected nominated account, remain correct and up to date;
- that you are entitled to be paid compensation in respect of your Icesave account balance(s) and that you are able to give valid receipt for payment;
- that, to the best of your knowledge, your Icesave account balance(s) including interest up to and including 7 October 2008 is (are) correct;
- that the full payment to you of your Icesave account balance(s) under this process including interest up to and including 7 October 2008 is in full and final discharge and settlement of the obligations of FSCS to fulfil your entitlement (if any) to compensation from FSCS in respect of your deposit(s) with Icesave;
- that if you hold a fixed-rate savings account which pays interest on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis, and you decide to hold that account until maturity, you will not be paid any amount (including for any interest) prior to maturity in respect of that account;
- that you consent to FSCS, HM Treasury and the Financial Services Authority processing, receiving and requesting any information and documents that may be needed in connection with your claim for compensation, or in the carrying out of their functions, and to the release and/or disclosure of such information and documents to any other person in connection with the payment of compensation or in the carrying out of such functions or as otherwise required by law; and
- that all such rights, claims and entitlements as you may have against Landsbanki Islands hf ("Landsbanki") and third parties will be assigned and transferred to FSCS.
By clicking "continue" you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and that you accept and agree to be bound by them.
I then click continue and get nothing, my account summary page, but clicking on "View Accounts" does nothing, there is a hidden button on my screen, that when running mouse over has the change email function, but nothing about continuing with the process
Any one have this to ?
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Great shame this should happen
Last resort on these things (assuming account was set up correctly in the first place, but you think not) - clear cookies, clear history and set security and privacy levels to minimum and try again (remembering to reset afterwards)"How could I have been so mistaken as to trust the experts" - John F Kennedy 19620
