This is not on all Orange contract tariffs. It was introduced a couple of years ago when the animal tariffs were announced. see here.
and now £20 buys 200 mins & unlimited texts :jSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
Yeah i do text an awful lot, but i do get unlimited texts so i try to make use of as many as possible. The point i was addressing was that orange are making this charge, and i was seeing if other people knew and if they didn't they may be able to learn from my mistake.

" Orange is cutting the minutes new and migrating customers get from lower-priced tariffs. From April, £19 a month will buy 50 rather than 60 minutes "

Plus 1p for each delivery report, which was why I posted the link. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
The issue is now what you have on your tariff, but the fact you are using a service provided by orange to confirm delivery. Therefore why should it come out of your inclusive bundle, when you didn't make the receipt text message. Orange are entitled to charge what they feel is reasobable for the service. Vodafone used to charge a full 10p for every achnowledgement (so Orange were not the first to introduce a charge).0

I've done a module of Business Law at university so i might dig out my book and see whats i can do.
Not sure your business law module will help you in respect of a consumer contract.
Though the module will probably say somewhere to read the contract you're signing-up to, or at least check the pricing tariff.

Obviously too busy texting to have time to read the contract that was agreed to! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Do they even allow you to read the contact when you sign up in store? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.0

lol, im loving the smart answers, i thought this was a friendly forum.
Neway, no i didn't read every single word in the contract and im sure 99% of people don't have the time to. And i never signed for the contract so no i didnt read it, i bought when the whole cashback thing blew up.
I'll say it again the main reason for my post was to make other people aware of the charge, but obviously everyone has been over the contracts with a highlighter lol.
