    From radio 4,

For anyone who's booked tickets with them the administrators are saying to hang onto your tickets and check the website for updates - but crossing are cancelled this weekend.

If you've booked tickets costing more than £100 on your credit card and you dont get your money back or your crossing then your credit card will refund you.

    what if it`s under £100?

i`ve booked next years crossing (which was offered at a very cheap rate....i know why now!!!)

    thanks..

Does anyone know how we will stand as regards the 'block booking' tickets. We have left some 9 return crossings on 2 pre-booked blocks (against 25 December as per the Speedferries system!) but individually the crossings are only £25 (or £50 for a 2 way) so under £100 each. The block booking was £250 when made however.

I know it sounds a lot to have 'in credit' but we go over every 3 or 4 weeks so they soon got used up!
  • I have a horrible feeling that the Credit Card Cos will maintain that we have bought 10 items @£25 each and therefore not covered by section 75:mad:

  • The tact I'll be taking is stating that I bought a ticket for £168 in a single transaction.

We really need Martin to give us some direction on this.

and from that I take it the block of tickets wont be covered, particularly if you have used some

On the contrary it looks like they might!

"...This can get more complicated though. If the company links the transaction together, for example by giving a special offer if two flights are purchased together, then you should be covered. "

The block tickets Speedferries sold were special offers generally linking
10 single, or 5 return crossings to get the low price on offer.
