Yes he came - a valve is broken so he's coming back on wednesday to fix it with the parts. Thank goodness I have the cover or I'd be screwed!

This was the loan he was given as part of his relocation package - so it was used as a deposit for the house, we got some expenses too, but these don't have to be paid back.

    hi all :)

I've been productive tonight - the kids went down really well for once (fingers crossed they stay down) and I have completely cleared out a cupboard - one bin bag of rubbish and four of stuff for the charity shop.

Hah! Spoke too soon - while I was writing the above, Sophia called me - her temp is right up again so time for more medicine. Poor thing.

    Hi all

Gosh I'm tired. I ended up ringing NHS Direct last night as Sophia's temp registered at 40 and I got a little worried! They were lovely and went through all the things that I needed to look out for etc. Then I stayed up with her for about an hour before going to sleep. Then DS was awake and carrying on at 4 - arghh!!! Finally got him off at about 5 and then got up at 7.30 to ring work and send in cover work etc. Went back to bed after that tho!!

He rang earlier - he's now living with his gf - nice. We did have a productive conversation that will help with the money situation and stuff, but I'll think about that later.

Gosh that was a hard night.!!!!!!!...little wonder that you're tired.
Glad that you had a productive conversation with him at least that's one less worry.

Hmm...well, kids are down, not asleep, but they were both playing up and obviously tired, so gave them an early bath and now they are chilling in bed. Sophia's temp went right up again before after being ok all day which surprised me. Not sure if she's going to be well enough for school tomorrow, but need to be firm, as I think it's also my lack of wanting to go in that may swing it for her having another day off!! All the clothes are ready for us to go, my packed lunch is ready and everything is good to go in the morning, so hopefully car will start and we can get going.

I am REALLYdreading going back to work. Don't know why - I have marking and stuff to do tonight, but am in one of those moods that I just don't care and can't be bothered, which is not good! Going to get a cup of tea and make a short list of what I MUST do tonight, and then attempt some of it. *sigh*
