hi all i got one of these a while ago for a friend my cousin now has diabetes so tried this site again and recieved it today,

Great find. Hope it doesnt become a free for all just because its a freebie and hope the genuine diabetic users manage to get a meter.

I have applied for one for my mum. She has diabetes, unfortunately it runs in the family.

My husband has type 1 so this would be great for him to keep at work instead of having to carry his other bulky one everywhere!!

My Daughter was diagnosed ( shes 10) earlier this year as type 1 - ans while we have 2 monitors already the Bayer Monitor is a good accurate blood monitor - originally applied to win it , but a month later it arrived with a note saying although i applied after the close date they send me one anyway. I guess its to get the pharmacys to order their blood strips - Only used as a spare and boy are we glad .
