Have you heard the FSCS song:
Loretta: Alistair! Fetch me some water!
Alistair: There's a hole in my bucket dear Loretta, dear Loretta There's a hole in my bucket dear Loretta, a hole.
Loretta: Well, fix it dear Alistair, dear Alistair, dear Alistair, Well, fix it dear Alistair, dear Alistair, fix it.
Alistair: With what shall I fix it ... Loretta: With a straw dear Alistair ... Alistair: The straw is too long ... Loretta: Well, cut it dear Alistair ... Alistair: With what shall I cut it ... Loretta: With an axe dear Alistair ... Alistair: The axe is too dull dear Loretta ... Loretta: Well, sharpen it dear Alistair ... Alistair: With what shall I sharpen it ... Loretta With a stone dear Alistair ... Alistair: The stone is too dry dear Loretta ... Loretta: Well, wet it dear Alistair ... Alistair: With what shall I wet it ... Loretta: With water dear Alistair ... Alistair: In what shall I fetch it ... Loretta: In a bucket dear Alistair ... Alistair: There's a hole in my bucket, dear Loretta ...In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
...the solution is for 30 million people to provide tiny bits of metal and glue them together to fix the hole. Geddit? I know, a bit lame that one....0

... I know, a bit lame that one....
As lame as an arthritic, three legged Blackpool donkey, with advanced laminitis, ladened with an obese child eating one hundred weight of jelly babies, at the end of the summer season. Wearing a headband "Lame Donkey" with bells on!In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
...did you write for Blackadder?0

Need to go catch up on my intake of :coffee: now“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Here's one for you: has anyone who had the money returned to them from a transfer (just before 8th Oct) received their 2nd email etc. yet?
Luckily I managed to get £500 out before it went under, otherwise I would have had really bad cash flow problems.
Yes, I have. I tried to transfer all of it on October 6th (except for one pound) and my balance showed one pound for a few worrying days until about Ocotber 9th when it all came back to my Icesave account. I got my 2nd e-mail and claimed on Monday.0 -

It seems to me that people getting 2nd emails and their money out have had relatively small sums(with the notable exception of the 250K lady).
It is, of course, entirely possible that people simply don't want the world to know and I respect their wish for privacy. It would cheer me up, however, to know that someone out there who was at the original £35,000 limit had got their hands on the dosh.
I don't expect virtue to be rewarded but it would be reassuring to know that £35-50,000 payouts are not being held back deliberately.0
