Please would someone else phone the FSCS to try to find out the truth because Susie got a different story to what I was told, one of them must be wrong.:)
It's simple to get them and they answer quickly select option 4 and they answer straight away.0 -

Well I really don't get this TBH I have just got off the phone having spoken to the FSCS and the man I spoke to assured me 100% that they have not finished sending all the 2nd emails yet and they are continuing to send them out, I asked him 3 times and each time he was adamant that anyone who had the first email and the initiate button would not have to fill in a form and that the email def would be sent between now and the 4th DEC which is the last date of sending! He did sound certain that there was not any problem.
He said the only people who have to fill in a form were people who could not use BACS.
Perhaps someone else would also like to give them a ring on 020 7892 7300 (select 4) so we can find out 100% otherwise we are going to be in the dark!
As you suggested I've just spoken to FSCS who assure me that second e-mails will continue to be sent out up until the 4 Dec and that having received the first e-mail and having a linked account I should be OK"L'enfer, c'est les autres"0 -

Ditto for me, obviously will discover in a few days whether claim was successfully initiated. System was extremely slow during initiation claim. Just makes the wait longer0 -

I also did my claim an hour ago. I can still log in and go through thre process of initiating the claim, however it only goes so far then you get this message

I did read on a thread here somewhere that ppl were still able to log in for a while after they had initiated the claim so please don't fret too much0 -
