The FSCS website now states they had sent out over 100,000 emails by the end of yesterday (21 November), the statement quoted by the FT was from 19 November.

That suggests they sent out 25,000 emails in 2 days, which at a rate of 12.5k per day would result in them sending out the remaining 125k in... 10 days.

Agreed, dtaylor84. I don't doubt that this schedule is possible (as in feasible), but I do doubt whether the FSCS will adhere to it and whether we can actually rely on their figures in the first place. After all, we have no independent confirmation of 12.500 emails being sent out daily, and anecdotal evidence (i.e. people reporting their receipt on these boards and others) does not match the FSCS' claim on numbers.

Morning all ... and what a lovely morning it is! I'm glad everyone has recovered from last night's sorrows (I was very sad to read of some people's harrowing experiences).

How did you're evening go? Has the Old Etonian headed back to his stately home. ;)

  • Morning, well nearly noon, all:hello:

Local council demonstrating superb planning and organization in my road. Yestereve: Copious quantities of grit in preparation for big whiteout. Then that was all washed off so they could paint some new white lines. Last night it snowed; no grit, big whiteout. Today they are still trying to paint white lines on the, er, snow. Looking forward to seeing the resulting artwork :rotfl:

And today. Well little would be betta than a full setta Loretta letters (with thanks and apologies to Amistupid ;) ) And news from the gentlemen and ladies-in-waiting? Fingers crossed!
    Every rule has an exception.......:rolleyes2
