does anyone know where I can get mini whisky bottles esp. Jack Daniels. I asked in Asda today and they said they don't stock miniatures.

    Thanks

  • We don't have a local shop - I will try Tesco. Wonder if Mills shops sell them? I will try there too. Thanks.

To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research ;)

  • I saved Douwe Egbert coffee jars all last year to use. Not made them yet though as still collecting what I am putting inside.
  • I originally posted about the Pot o' Gold idea a couple years ago on my old MSE account. I used gold coloured, sparkly pots from Au Naturale and filled them with chocolate coins and a lottery ticket (for the Christmas draw) in each. Au Naturale normally have a good selection of pots and candle holders in for Christmas so might be worth a look if you have a store near you.
I might steal some of the ideas on this thread and do the pots again this year. The cellophane finished ones look really professional. :)

I want to say a big thankyou to all who have contributed in this thread.
I started reading a few months ago and thought what a fantastic idea!
So off I went, over the next couple of months, collecting gold chocolates, ribbons, anything gold!
The kids have had a nightmare trying not to eat the gold coins:rotfl:

Anyway, here are the fruits of my labour, 4 pots of gold for my family for Christmas.
(oh and if I want to make anymore, I'm gonna have to buy more chocolate as the kids, and hubby have eaten all the spares! And my 10 year old son is running round the house as a ninja with some gold ribbon round his head:rolleyes:)
