Rusty, yours look fab, well done :T

I used scrunched tissue paper in my bowls to raise the bottom up a bit so I could use less chocolate coins...

I used 2 scratch cards in each but the bowls I used were quite wide (apart from one cos I lost a card!).

Thanks Rainmac, I love your bowls! OH says I should put in another scratch card and as yet haven't looked for the tissue paper so came to a halt with them and I am desperate to finish them off!!
Guess I will have to make a start on more door hangers instead :D

  • Just joined and saw this thread - lovely idea, might try this instead of Chrsitmas Crackers - far better than a wonky paper hat and a plastic whistle! :p

I'm using black plant pots for my pots of gold , I used Chocolate eclairs to fill out the bottom, they're wrapped in a goldish paper , asda smart price only about 30p a bag, one bag filled each pot , about 24-27 in each bag

Asda are doing Belgian choc gold coins two large bags for £3, also got two bags of choc baubles (tree decs) Red and gold in pack two for £5 , going to put the red ones on my tree, other contents Ferrero and still to get scratch cards , thinking two in each one.

And i'm still on the hunt for a nice gold pen, brooch or something, definately getting stuck into my search at the weekend

I have some nice thin gold tinsel that i will put round the rim and also use to tie the cellophane

The coins, baubles and ferrero fill two plant pots , contemplating maybe puting a nice bulb (flower) in the bottom , not sure if it will affect the choc tho because i found some lovely candles i wanted to add , but then again not sure about the candle v choc smell :)

nicola - that looks brilliant ! Amazing what you can do with a plant pot !

Well, looking at my gravy granule tub -really its not so bad.........covered it in images of gold coins and tied gold ribbon round it. Going to pop in a few pound coins amond the choccy ones.

rainmac - lovely pots of gold - wish I'd thought of something like that

Nicola that looks fab!! well done!!

Your pics can be changed as you go to upload them. Before you click on the blue button there is a drop down menu which lets you change the picture size. I always use large as they fit nicely to the forum size.

Lol I knew you would ask! ... I have 3 football ones which a friend has asked me to make for her. And then Saveapenny put up a link to some lovely all wooden ones so I want to try and adapt one of them to see if I can make it work for me ... I would like to do the snowman one pictured below ... but my own version
