Apologies for another Icesave thread, but just so chuffed that I needed to share the news.
The FSCS compensation payments go out as smooth as silk... my transfer of Monday evening appeared in my bank account overnight.
I have to say, I'm EXTREMELY impressed with how the FSCS has dealt with this... pats on the back where due.
May everyone have the same cause to rejoice very soon!!!!
Cheers!!!!

Yup. I don't know if it varies bank-to-bank, but my account is with Natwest and a friend was called by Lloyds to tell him that his transfer (also Monday evening) was appearing in his account today. Well, they actually called him to ask how he'd like to save/invest the money, but he took the bits that he chose to

Well done.
A question if someone would answer. I completed the claims process yesterday and there was a message advising when completed and logged out it would not be possible to log in again and view accounts.
However, I can still log in and the accounts are still there and showing their respective balances, so the money might not haver gone out yet.
For those who have completed their claim, can they confirm the balance disappeared straight away and they can no longer access Icesave to view their accounts?
Is this the first c ock up in the system I wonder?
I did fortunately print out the confirmations that the transfer instructions had been completed plus the statements so I just need anyone elses experiences before 'phoning FSCS and/Icesave.
Thanks in advance.0 -
Oldagetraveller, I got the same message, but was still able to log in after completing the transfer. The balance doesn't clear straight away (it never did), but you will get another email confirming your transfer. Be patient, it can take anything up to 12 hours for the confirmation email to arrive from what I'm reading elsewhere.0

Thanks for that, not received that e-mail yet (16 hours since claim). I'll give it until tomorrow and if nothing, will 'phone then. I didn't see anything about this confirmation e-mail when processing - have I missed something in my rush to get my money!?
The message about not being able to access accounts after claim and log off must obviously be wrong information too?0 -
Money (£12300) in my linked current account this morning.
Chuffed to bits.
Hope everyone else is happy soon.

.... yes it seems to be, but to be honest being able to log back in when they said I wouldn't was the last of my worries. It does seem a long time since your claim and still not received the email, but I suppose there's a backlog, and it could back up further as more people are involved. I'm privileged to have been one of the very first to get it, it seems. No idea why - surname is a J, I have two accounts (ISA and easy access), both were opened in January, so probably somewhere in the middle of everyone. I just know I ain't complaining
During processing I don't remember there being a warning about a further email, so don't be concerned about that.0 -

People who have got their cash would be impressed while others who have not even received a 2nd email are not quite so happy, it feels like a lottery TBH where some of us lose everyday that it goes on.
A few days ago it was a level playing field so to speak and we were all in the same boat whereas now some of us face a wait of another 20 days loss of interest on our money!
It seems to me a little unfair the way in which they are selecting people to pay.0 -
I haven't got my e-mail either, but there's no point in worrying about it - it is a lottery of course, I imagine the order priority is completely random, but that's not a good thing.
Count me amongst the people who are very impressed with how quickly and seemingly efficiently they're going about this.
/goes back to F5'ing his e-mail with one hand, and crosses his fingers on the other in the hope he hasn't jinxed his application

....I hear you, but the selection process (if there is one) seems random. When it comes to deciding what's fairer than random, everyone will have their own slant on why they could be first. I know it sounds blase, but what can I say?.... I'm certainly not going to apologise for being first lol.
It was always the case that it would be phased over a period of weeks, so not everyone would get the second email straight away.
What I'm happy to confirm is that once you have got your second email and correctly made the transfer(s), then the transfer is hassle free. I believe that wasn't the case with KE, so I'm happy to be able to report to folk that this works. I know circumstances are a bit different to KE, but it's still good news for Icesavers.0
