Would it be worth writing to Lets Talk, Politics Show, Hearts and Minds - to ask if questions could be raised to Ministers on the shows??

Arlene Foster was on Politics Show today - but no mention of PMS - perhaps if we had known she was going to be on - we could maybe have even had a question re PMS!

Need to keep highlighting our plight.

Does anyone know how the media works and how we get our questions raised?

Is anyone planning to attend the Open Meeting of the Treasury Select Committee at Stormont today?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/7918097.stm

Quoting from the above story of the BBC - MPs will hear from members of the public in Belfast, who have been granted an open invitation to describe their personal experiences.

Sounds like the perfect place to raise the PMS issue?

  • I was planning to catch up on some housework, but since this whole PMS thing has come about it seems to be taking over my life.....

I live near Stormont and don't work Mondays so I'll go.

If anyone else is planning to go let me know before 10.15 and we can finaly meet up.:j

I'm just off the phone from Stormont.....
The meeting is a public session so anyone can attend.
    It starts at 11.05.
Bring ID to get past security.
There's a carpark in the grounds.
Maybe see some of you there

How come none of us seemed to know about this in advance? How can it be a public meeting if the public are not informed about it? A large group could have been properly organised to go and represent everyone affected by the PMS debacle.

Well done joylikes2shop for stepping up - I wish I could join you - hope you get the chance to put our case.

    fully agree amontylado

We didn't know about the meeting until this morning -

Word is that John Dunlop is tabled to ask questions - think he was previous Moderator??????? Really would have liked to have been there - perhaps some of the Savers are there.

I have sent joylikestoshop some questions to ask by text - not sure if he/she will be allowed to.

Well folks! Now we have the Treasury's advice
"The committee made no promises but wished the members well and suggested they form an action group, possibly through the internet"
    Thinks this means us!!!!

So where and how do we go about it? Do we go big, want a lot of publicity, but then have thousands of folk all wanting to offload their individual stories, with attendant TV cameras, reporters etc? I find the thought of this a bit scary. It would need to be very organised and we don't have the basis of an organising committee to do so!!
At the moment we are a mottley group!! Or do we go for a quick meeting of folk from the forum and elect an interim organising committee as a prelude to a big meeting where a formal committee to represent us could take place. I don't know how we go forward BUT WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING AND MEET UP FACE TO FACE. I don't think we can hide in this forum!!! Some of you stalwarts of this forum, please give your thoughts and guidance!!
