Its a pity Ken Clarke isn't the leader, he would have exposed Brown for the fraud that he is, Cameron is a lightweight in comparison

Was this another G&T-on-the-beach inspired moment??

We all know things are going to get worse, what's the point of speculating and diminishing confidence in GB? Like it or not he is the one who going to have to show some leadership here, which after the Northern Rock debacle he has.

Shame on Ken Clarke for crowing like a prize !!!!.

Have you ever seen his wife.. i met them once and made the mistake of thinking it was his mum....ooopps
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

All Gordon Brown has done is dismantled the pensions system, so the greedy shareholders get the pensions contributions the employers were paying. Then he has let his friends in the city carry on with their orgy of financial greed, shared by the BTLers and they are still having £1000 a head nights out and crazy bonuses. And all he does is bleat about Credit Card interest being up slightly. He's not leading he is reacting.

[If he was leading, he would have been kicked out for stopping the orgy of greed]

its not like Ken Clarke can brag about how well he and the conservatives managed the economy when they were in charge, its a shame really as he seems quite a nice guy (and is my MP) but cant forget what they actually did to the country when they were in charge....took away milk from children, closed all the pits, started the privatisation of the NHS, led us into recession...still I guess it gives them the voice of experience

Still is Tory policy as far as I can see, it's sour grapes from Ken Clark, because he would rather be the one to be implementing it. Why Brown is implementing it I don't know, because the tories really are a better class of tory.
