I would say it will all be fine! Most of these dates are sell by dates, and the food is still perfectly good for a few months after that. I was the worlds biggest sceptic until I met my husband and saw the light :rotfl: I am still wary of some things but have had two orders from these guys and they have all been in perfect condition :T
With two hungry boys and a hungry husband  this means our housekeeping goes that bit further every month!
Water I think has a 2 year life span even after it has been on its bb date so you will be fine, and the others have lots of preservatives in them to keep them fresh (I know they say they dont but they do they are jsut permitted ones lol)

I would say to anyone who is that bothered by the dates then this is not for you.
Watch this then decide...

A friend gave me some meatballs once because they came in a BOGOF pack and the 'free' pack did not have a date on it at all - her hubby would not eat them.
The thread explains how the dates on this stuff is sell by dates anyway (have i got this the right way round LOL??) so it is NOT just about to go off, unlike something like a fresh piece of meat or fish where you would be wise to look at the date;)
i have found it great for packed lunches but what lucky person still knows of a school where nuts are allowed? Or are you taking the nuts to work??;)Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

btw if it is for a kids party then watch yourself in case there are neurotic parents there who WOULD take issue with the date on the packets...
put the crisps in a bowl and the juice in a jug!Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Sarahsaver - think about how people get food poisoning, which is what the sell by dates are about. I don't think anyone got food poisoning off a raisin before- though I am ready to stand corrected on that- and think how people managed for years without best before dates, just by looking at the stuff and smelling it...I thought the bakery stuff might taste odd, but there are so many preservatives in that sort of thing now, it lasts much longer. The stuff in jars and tins is in a vacuum which means bacteria can't get in to make the stuff go off. At least that is my understanding of it, which may not be based in scientific fact!:o

Remember some of the goods sold on this site might be past their “best before” date but are never past their “use by” dates.
Selling products that have passed their “use by” date carries serious health risks however “best before” date relates more to the optimum quality of the product.
The UK government food standard agency has plenty of information about the use of “best before” dates and what this actually means.
For more information on "best before" dates look here at the food standards agency guidelines http://www.foodstandards.gov.uk
