Had another argument with my dad. !!!!!!. Really testing my patience now. It has nothing to do with the fact we live together (although u can't just walk out:rolleyes:) I know I know all that "but he is your dad..." stuff. My point is that just because he is my dad, it doesn't give him the right to be awful to me and my OH. I still love him as my dad but that doesn't mean I have to like him as a person IYSWIM. He really isn't a very nice person. He is so selfish, a compulsive liar and is just generally a pig. I won't go into the ins and outs on here but it really has been a long road of which I have come off the worst emotionally and financially. I think (well I know) that if we didnt live together me and OH wouldn't visit him. which is awful even though it is true!
And I don't know why my mum puts up with him. She has admitted to me that he only stays becuz it suits him financially. He is obsessed with money all the time. Its so annoying. I have tried to explain to her that u don't have to put up with anything. Happiness is the key and there is definately more to life than money! As we speak my mum is cashing in the money my granddad left her to give him. Its awful as he wants it help with houses that hes renovating blah blah. But I know he won't pay it back. My mum knows it too. Not that I have discussed this with them..just overheard the conversation in the kitchen! I don't and won't interfere with their money as I bloody don't want them involved with mine!! But you see my point...?

So anyway...we've had a barny. Im now stressed out and cant concentrate on work....so MSE it is then! No now i've wrote this I feel less stressed. DS is awake so will go and get him up, have a cup of T and then get cracking again.... :rolleyes: oh and OH will be home soon - yay! someone sane (and has the ability) to talk to woop woop!!

Ok...quick post now I am feed and watered (yay!). Feeling focussed.

Plan for next couple of days is..

Fri - banking etc/finish off urgent work/study/go to IL's then bed...
Sat - shopping/studying then out with the girlies (yay!!!)
Sun - studying....
Mon - studying.. (if I need to) then work.

Really the weekend depends on how much I can get done tomorrow - so need to get lots done. Which means I WONT BE ON MSE!!!

Well...didn't do great with staying off MSE I have had a productive morning though!!!

I think OH has had his LBM - last night he threatened to sell my wii and wii fit unless I started to use it everyday :eek: He also said that we could sell everything including the TV as he didnt want to pay so much out for debt anymore :rotfl:Least I know he is on board officially now.

Just playing with a few figures etc. Scratch card money is in account this morning - that's good

Updated signature...don't expect to be able to make anymore extra payments this month...BOOOOOOO.

Main aim for this year is to clear cc (only 1 left woop woop) and OD then work on paying family debt. Once family debt is done then clear off one of our loans. Which means that we hope to start 2010 with just 2 loans outstanding. :eek: that sounds horrific! The snowball calculates that we will have about 18k remaining then with interest and what not. I'll be really pleased if we can do that. I have calculated that I have budgeted for 14k out of my pay 20k already so I need to find an extra 6k to achieve it - 2k will hopefully come from sale of item at some point. So just need 4k from somewhere? Hmm...need to think of some masterplan for this. I do have a lot to sell on ebay but not sure if it is 4k's worth!:rotfl: Will need to have a think. Could perhaps get a summer job (although would have to be an easy one!) can't really take on any work atm as I dont have enough time as it is!

Started to look at what docs i need for SO thingy. Need to send bank statements from ALL accounts for last 3 months. !!!!!!? I also need to prove we have 2k - I'll have to be a bit sneaky here - I won't be able to go ahead with any purchase anyway! I need to have 2 years accounts anyway so can't send off yet. No rush. Will need to pay off OD first me thinks!

Monday already again....:eek: Gosh the weekends fly by!! I love the weekend. It is sooo nice. Now I don't work anymore it really is family and friends time. Must be because I do all the "chores" in the week! It really is lovely Had a dinner party in with the girlies on saturday - my friend is an amazing cook! It was so nice. Must make a real effort to catch up more often. It is so hard as we always seem to be so busy. It looks like my other friend will be getting hitched soon too which is nice - her chap is lovely but they have only been together for about 10 months :eek: She says her parents were shocked when she told them - I said I could see why they would be a bit worried but as long as u r happy etc etc. You can tell they obviously do love each other! They might go abroad tho as he doesn't really have much family and so isn't bothered and they fancy the idea of a beach wedding. She asked about our wedding and was mortified when I told her it cost us nearly 15k:eek: :eek: (we were DF then...:o)
If they go abroad that's going to scupper my debt busting :rolleyes: Gosh some people are so selfish...:rotfl: TBH both me and my other friend said to let us know whether we need to start saving!!!!

Anyway.... banking/scratchies done. No secret millions there unfortunately! Just realised I forgot to pay cc over weekend :eek: must do this today. Plan for today is finish assignment/work.

Well another day another dollar...

feeling carp today. Have new meds and they are making me feel like poo. Haven't done hardly anything this morning and cried on the phone to OH at work. So he will be worried now. D'oh.
Done banking etc...all okay. went shopping at asda last night - spent more than had budgeted for as loads of nice clothes - argh! - oh well never mind. need something to cheer me up as everything appears to be going pete tong.

OH's nan is back in hospital again -- SIL v v v skint and her ex partner didnt get her anything from the kids (3 and 8) for mothers day. I think it is disgusting. Really upset about it and then I think I upset her more as I pointed out even tho he is skinteroni he still could have MADE her something with them. (GAH - MEN! :mad: ) -- IL's skint aswell -- Brov/SIL really in trouble with money - he admitted they are 3 months in arrears with their mortgage! :eek: Gave him some MSE advice....:D -- council didn't nominate us for a house. gave it to someone else who we know distantly and has said to us (knowing that we are struggling) that they are only going to stay there 2 days a week as will live with OH (who's minted) the rest of the time :mad: --my dad is still being a pain in the bottom. Think we have decided he may actually have a mental illness. Very distressing. Not sure how we are going to convince him to get help.

Other than that everything is good!!!! least money is okay anyway! Best get DS some lunch....

Well its the weekend. Didn't do a lot yesterday as was still feeling like poo. :mad: Stupid medication.....they are meant to be make me better! Why do they do that? Its soo irritating....Hope I feel better in a couple of days

Done all banking and stuff. OH has gone to watch the ruggers..:eek: 80 quid gone:eek: :eek: I am at ILs (costing me 3 to go online :eek: )with DS - not so bad as will be getting a curry soon

Everyone in the family seems to be so skint at the moment!! why???? Its never usually this bad...must be the credit crunch taking its toll I guess?? Everyone seems so stressed out! I wish I could help but all I can do is offer my MSE advice :rotfl: Sometimes I think I can be a little bit selfish in that I only think about our problems. But maybe that is becuz we have so many! No seriously...we are quite lucky really. Least we aren't facing repossession or can't pay our bills. When I stress about money it is because I haven't been able to overpay our cc as much this month! We just want to be debt free. Our problems are our housing situation (which we can't resolve atm for many many reasons but we are working on it), my families health (can't resolve but trying.), my health being so crap (again we can't resolve but we are working on it:rolleyes: ) and our debts. Perhaps I focus on debts becuz thats the only one I can do something about....?? Hmm.. maybe I should seek therapy I suppose everyone has their own problems and really the only ones anyone truely cares about are the problems that affect u and the ones closest to u. I should stop stressing so much though. Everything will come together for us I have a plan And everyone else will be fine one way or another. Even if we all are skint!

Plan for this weekend (or whats left of it anyway) -

1/tidying up (OH did most of this yesterday bless him :cool: )
2/sort paperwork out - and file important stuff
3/take pics of ebay items and list
4/send ty card to doc
5/write letter to council
6/put ad in local mag about typing - have been thinking about how to get my extra 4k. I used to do some typing jobs on the side - think might put an ad in local paper to see if anything comes of it. Probably won't make much but any extra helps...and its something I can do whenever.
7/monthly review of finances/plans etc...

Anyway...Iggle piggle is finishing and DS needs his pjs. Take care all and have a good rest of weekend.

Its horrible at the moment - everywhere you turn there are people that are financially stuffed and I find that if I pay too much attention to the press and media, it makes me feel very nervous - how would we cope if OH were to lose his job - but I am trying to focus on the present and continue ploughing through the debts.

Well didn't do alot yesterday. Have done nothing from my list at all - on the plus side though had a lovely relaxing day with OH and DS. And I do feel better for it. Motivated to get things done again! And I feel a lot less like poo aswell. So must have done me some good.

Plan for today is WORK then....

1/tidying up and sort out remaining DS clothes
2/sort paperwork out - and file important stuff
3/take pics of ebay items and list
4/send ty card to doc
5/write letter to council
