  • Got a bogof deal on some cakes. Got a voucher for 5p a litre discount on diesel from my friend (I struggle to spend £50 in a shop to earn my own). Started looking for a discounted or second hand freezer (no luck yet though) so that I can start bulk cooking and unfreeze a meal a day (current fridge/freezer is far too small). Paid cash from my customers straight into the bank to remove temptation (only £25 as most were out or paid by cheque). Paid a payment (only minimum) on a credit card bill as soon I received it instead of waiting a few days.

Hiya Paul - I got one on freecycle, didn't take me long - might be worth a go. You can always say you will put yours on when you get one ......goodluck
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Thanks for the tip Fay. I registered with my local freecycle only a couple of days back but haven't had a chance to look yet. I would feel better about it if I could do my first post there with something to give (as per their rules). I didn't think electricals were permitted so wouldn't have expected one on there. The garage I rent from my local council is costing £9.28 a week and it's pretty full at the moment. The van I use these days is far too big to fit in there. So I feel a boot sale and a freecycle giveaway coming on. I used it for storage when I moved away and rented out my flat some while back. I'm having to empty it in fits and starts due to being busy with work. It is a bit wasteful but I don't have the time to sort everything out at once. I'm in training for the 4 grand a year challenge from Jan 1st so would hope to have it sorted by then.
