Thanks everyone, where would I be without you all
Especially to andan, Fay and Miss Piggy. I owe you big sparkles. Gosh, yesterday was difficult and to pay it back I bought and ate (all by myself) a king size twix
I had to finish the report that says why my team should not be made redundant, what value they add to the company and what they add to the bottom line. These are my friends and colleagues.... I know the girl opposite me is in a bad place financially and still spends on credit cards, I know it's not my problem, but somehow it is... I'm not a very skillful writer and worry that I haven't managed to articulate how valuable these people are to the company and what the company will lose if it closes the team down.
And I had the bit that says should I save myself and damn the others, so difficult....
Anyway, it just bought me down into a black mood, on top of the having made a mess of my own budget and having no extra money until the 25th (managed to find enough for an emergency twix though....)
Still I have managed to bring in breakfast and lunch and finally paid in a cheque for 5.66. So all is not lost. Oh and my horse gave me a cuddle last night, nearly fell over, don't think he realises how big he is

Piq, by the sounds of it you deserved that twix!!! What an awful job to have to do. My Dad is going through the same thing. He knows he has to make redundancies and is having to justify to the company owners why he is keeping some and not others. Absolutely terrible thing to have to do.
Hopefully today will be better for you. At least you know you can rely on your horse for a real cuddle....but in the meantime heres a virtual one for you:grouphug:

Hello again all!
Just had statements from Energy supplier to say my gas is going up £4 a month and my electric is going up £24 a month!
So I've added a dew things to my DFW list for today......
* Crawled under kitchen cabinets and pulled about 5 muscles reaching the socket to unplug the tumble drier. The thought of the pain to get the plug back in should deter me from using it :rotfl:
* Went round house and turned all appliances off at wall which aren't being used
* Told hubby he has to charge his phone in Lorry during work time!
* Looking at energy saving nightlights for landing for when little boy in bed
Wonder if it will all make a difference!? :undecided
Miss P
