  • Afternoon everyone :hello:

SophiesMum - I hope your appraisal went well
Piquant - I feel for you; I know my brother has had to do the same thing recently for his team

I'm still poorly today - so :grouphug: to anyone out there who's under the weather

    Today I have / will:
    - wash and dry the dishes by hand
    - use the radiators to dry washing
    - made pack lunches for ds and dd (both are happy to do this and have not given me any grief:love:)
    - have a no spend day
    - join the November NSD challenge to focus myself
    - join the DFW Nerd club to inspire myself
    - read EagerLearners information on daily clicks

Am wearing stripy socks today - cerise pink and brigt green:D

Have a good day people - will pop back in later

Miss Piggy (I nearly had a terrible typo there... -both names starting with p)

I recommend the use of a dymo (Or something similar) to label all your plugs. It makes it easy to go around last thing at night and turn off anything at the wall that is not needed.

the only things I leave on over night now are my fridge, sky+ box (I record a lot of signed programmes overnight), storage heater, alarm clock and house phone (I stupidly have a plug in one)

labelling my plugs has saved me a fortune I think.

  • Hi all

Appraisal went well this morning:D and social services meeting has been potponed as several people ill :j :j so will now finish work on time, although did miss lunch hour, so have just eaten three stray ferrero rochers that were lurking in my desk drawer;) , and very nice they were too:D .

Piq - Really feel for you having to justify keeping staff on, particularly in the current economic climate, what an awful thing to have to put an argument forward on.

fay - Think you should polish your halo a little after turning down fish and chips for soup:A :A

Catch up with everyone later, now need to catch up on the work I would have been doing if line manager hadn't been here all day:rolleyes:

Halifax credit card have just credited my bank account and brought it back into the black thank god! I ended up phoning them in tears around lunchtime - not sure if that helped speed things up! Still going to write and complain about all the stress and imminent £28 charge for going over overdraft when, in fact it was Halifax that owed me money!!

Anyway, I can finally relax and enjoy my day. Going to make gingerbread men with my boys now - could be interesting!!!!

has anyone else noticed that when you hovver your mouse over the dodgy group hug icon it doesn't say 'group hug' any more....?

Have a look and have a giggle like I just have!

5 minutes to go and then I am out of here. Hopefully get a good sleep in the car on the way home. (car sharing, not driving this week, don't panic everyone) The terms of my car share have changed though, I'm going to be getting 5 minutes more in my bed but getting less money on my week to drive as I don't have to pick anyone else up before the main pick up point anymore.

    anyway. hometime!!
