Property will stay in the doldrums

Can I ask you WHY exactly you keep on harping about property prices falling....wouldn't by any chance be that you HOPE they will, is it????:D
You'll always get doommongers praying and hoping for huge crashes - but it ain't gonna happen. Price drops have ALREADY begun to slow down.............:T
In fact, it's only the horrible properties that are dropping significantly. The good ones hold their price much more. And the good ones are usually owned by people who have GOOD jobs and lots of equity in them - so they won't move until property shoots back up again.
But I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Carol - maybe you'll find a run down hovel going for a bargain.
Watch out PP! Oh, too late - you stepped back into your saucer of milk. Shame! :rotfl:0

I share numbers too, but I think its odd when people make associations on 'wealth' and investment choices not character and circumstance. I couldn't care less how much someone has got, so long as thy came by it legally and spend it legally, ( preferably somewhat morally).
We must agree all of the time lir, because I'm always right.
I'm with you on the sharing of numbers comment. I've done it myself on the DFW and especially on the MFW where we share our mortgage repayment details (not equity details) to encourage our MF goals. I've even discussed my pension details on here and in the pension forum. Again, done for legitimate reasons.
PP seems to be coming apart a little, and I have found her latest rantings to make me less likely to believe her than more. I asked some specific questions about how she became mortgage free on her current property, but all she could say is that she sold a house for .5M - but in order to have made a .5M profit she would have had to be mortgage free on that property.
You can judge whether people are telling the truth on forums by the amount of accurate and consistent information they supply. In pickledpink's case I reserve judgement until more information is supplied.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)

I'm sorry pp I really dont see how I'm bitter, you throw your 'wealth' -which you solely define by 'your house being worth £500,000'. For the record this is not wealth it is equity .
I can neither prove nor disprove if this is the case and what's more I don't care. Your idle boasts mean nothing , furtehrmore I don't doubt you'd be clutching your head crying for your mammy if you were ignored you as a user.

Indeed so PrIam, the point is that pp (of course we dont know her in real life, she may be lovely) revels in posing insidious unpleasant and inaccurtae posts time after time, more often than directed at one or two individuals.
FTR a couple of threads she created (deleted pretty much straight away btw) could be deemed as cyber bullying.
I for one care not a jot as to the value of her house or whether she owns it outright."An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

I have a good idea. To stop PP's endless rants about me lying about being a barrister, etc. I've PM-ed generali a link to my profile in Chambers, my Dad's profile in Chambers, and OH's profile in Chambers (not the same ones).
He, if he's happy to do so, can confirm that we are all barristers. That might stop PP's invective against me - some of it, anyway....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

It must look horrible, I agree. Th history is that pickledpink has been very, 'judgemental' and 'aggressive' -in my opinion- to lots of other contributers, particularly those who she fls superior too. I hav myself ranted against th unpleasantness on this forum but PP brings out a less toleranmt line in even the most reasoned posters here.0

Well, don't say my name etc on the forum, please, but I know you know I'm a barrister (-:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0

That's strange, in my text: "You can judge whether people are telling the truth on forums by the amount of accurate and consistent information they supply. In pickledpink's case I reserve judgement until more information is supplied."
I did originally have an added bit:
"You can judge whether people are telling the truth on forums by the amount of accurate and consistent information they supply. For example, I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that NDG and her hubby are barristers because of the weight of evidence in her posts. In pickledpink's case I reserve judgement until more information is supplied."
I took it out because I didn't want to rake up PP's comments against NDG.
NDG, I shouldn't worry about what PP thinks, one usually finds in life that those who are the least trusting are also the least trustworthy. In other words, PP is a liar and thinks everyone else is too.Mortgage Free in 3 Years (Apr 2007 / Currently / Δ Difference)
