The most noticeable difference between 2007 and 2003 is the new Ribbon interface that replaces the menu bars, so I would recommend that age old phrase in IT; read the manual first.0

OO won't recognise macros that exist in excel sheets which you then open with OO, and as someone else mentioned earlier, there can be issues with formulas too........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

I use MS on my work PC and OO on my wife's (as we didn't want to pay).
Would choose MS over OO every time. Which is a shame, as I like the free software principle.0 -
Keep with 2003 and use Open Office 3 to open any 2007 files in .xlsx format.0
