Today I tried to login to Kaupthing however and was told I could only view my account if I accepted new terms and conditions relating to the FTD interest rate. I was suspicious as to what the new terms were saying (it was several pages). Can anyone advise on this? Think the Kaupthing deposit is being transfered to ING this weekend. Want to pull my money out asap.
Just logged in to my FTD accounts' details with no problem and no new Ts & Cs being displayed.
  • I complained to the FOS and have today received a letter from the FOS that describes a goodwill offer that ING Direct N.V. has agreed to make to settle my complaint. Has anyone else received an offer, and are you inclined to accept the offer, or to decline and take it to the final stage in the FOS process?
  • Hi Neil

Had my response yesterday too. I think the offer is OK considering the amount I deposited and may well accept. Still believe ING should have honoured their original pledge with us though.

Do you know whether, if we decide to reject the offer now and proceed with the complaint, we will lose it for good?
  • Hi Emily,

I have been following a similar thread at http://www.moneysupermarket.com/community/forums/p/27793/kaupthing-edge-refuses-to-honour-the-fixed-rate-b-169801.aspx?userid=311378a1-b04d-4a74-8ae5-7fa7c4879418#169801 where the last post advises that one can request that the amount be reviewed and not risk losing the current offer. I have today requested a review. My loss calculated at 2.15% (7.15% less 5.00%) over three years is much more than the offer from ING via FOS.
