If you use Tescos and it has a self service checkout keep your eyes out for discarded reciepts, you'll be suprised the number that have the club card points available on them. I even found a 5p off a litre of fuel at the one I used last week which someone had obviously not been bothered to wait for.

So basically Your Spending £160 per Month and ya get £20 back...... I'll Stick to Asda lol So much cheaper

thats funny, we have tried doing our weekly shops at all the main supermarkets, and find morrisons cheaper than the others, and at worse the same, this thing that asda is so much cheaper than other supermarkets is just a load of media hype, it may well be on items that not many people buy, but on your day to day stuff there is no difference, and if you are a family with kids then you easily spend £40 a week, so how are you spending more, to get £20 back?, Dave

    asda never restock their shelves
  • I am probably spending less by shopping in my local Morrisons due to their 20 quid voucher offer even though I have a family. In the larger Tesco Extra another mile or so up the road its far too easy for me to get carried away and buy non-food items I sometimes don't need. By the time you work your way round the toys, electrical , clothing etc for a wee look something always ends in the trolley thats an extra plus you have wasted another half hour. I can quite easy whizz round my local Morrisons in half an hour getting all the food I need for the week. I easily spend 40 quid as I have 3 children so by the time I buy nappies I'm well on my way to that total. I spent about 65 quid this week and usually at this time of year I would spend 80 - 90 in Tescos. I'm more than happy, and I agree with the person who said Asda are no cheaper than anyone else. They do however have a very wide selction of products, better than Tesco.

I think its a very good offer, how many points would you need to save up at Tesco on your clubcard to get 20 quid back, a fair bit I would think.

I shop at alot of the different supermarkets just for a change( if nothing else) but for the moment I'll be sticking with Morrisons.

Even if you don't normally spend enough I think it's worth upping your spend and stocking up on essentials that won't go off (assuming that you have the money obviously) over 10% return on your money, much better than any savings account.
  • We only started using Morrisons regularly a couple of months ago, when a new one opened 5 minutes away. Much prefer them to Tesco or Asda, and don't notice nuch difference in price as bubblegumcola said I also used to shop in Tesco Extra and would find my trolley filled with extras most of the time. I much prefer Morrisons meat and deli to any other supermarket. I have my first receipt and will be collecting the rest
