How are you all doing after the 27th October rule changes?

Hi all,

OK, so after 27th October the PWC was supposed to get the whole child support payment, and then those on benefits had to declare that first amount by replying on the official 'first payment after Oct 27th' letter.

I personally have yet to get a full payment:rolleyes: I have had in fact only ONE payment of about half a weeks pittance, um sorry payment, and that came after income support ceased in my case so I am not required to report it.:T

Has anyone:
A) Received a whole payment to report?
B) Reported it?

  • Funnily enough I have had one payment on 29th Oct... Nothing since... And they still owe me from when my income support claim stopped in September...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...

ex and I have agreed to a private arrangment and got rid of the csa all together. He hasn't given me a payment yet, he is going to pay me monthly on the same date his direct debit used to leave his account to the csa, the 15th of the month. I haven't told the jobcentre yet, basically because I havent had anything to tell them about yet.

Am I going to get into trouble??? I thought I only had to tell them when I recieved a payment

I got my first full payment this week and I rang the income support line to let them know, I get £56 so will have to have £36 taken off my IS, fingers crossed ex won't cancel his DD at anytime or I'll have to sort it all out again.

Since child maintenance is paid in arrears, your first full payment would only be at the end of November if you are paid monthly, i.e. a payment on the 3rd of November would be covering child maintenance for the month of October.

Exactly. I hope he doesn't, fingers crossed for you.

Thanks for that, that would explain my not yet having the first full payment, wouldn't it?
