Reading your last post makes me wonder, when was the last time you have serviced your car and has been done then! If all is uptodate, then, check fuel related fuses ( pump ) Do you have the car's manual or a Haynes manual?
I have the Haynes manual and have looked through it and it's just on much to high a level for me to even attempt any of the thing's it says try (Check HT spark is there, Replace leads/plugs)
I will try what you said in the morning and hopefully she will fire up.
The car was last serviced around 18 months ago (major service) and then was serviced again 3 months ago, minor service - all new filters and general checks and wasn't advised of anything.
I think the spark plugs were replaced on the major service 18 months ago but she has covered 25.000 miles since.
If she doesn't fire is there anything else I can do/check?!
Thank's for all your advice

you say there is a full tank of fuel, you have put the right fuel in haven't you.
also if you have removed the ht leads make sure you have put them back right i was messing about with a camper the other week and even though i marked them i managed to put 2 ht leads back wrong and that was a real pig to startHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I tried starting it with a fully charged battery today, it just turns over and after leaving it turning for a minute she tries to fire but just doesn't manage to catch

I took off the oil cap on the engine and had a look, it smells strongly of petrol which has never been the case before.
Looked under the car and there's no leaks/breaks and took off HT leads at top of engine where they plug in, completely dry and clean and she still didn't want to know.
No warning lights are on or engine management light.
Fuel tank is half full, checked that and it is the correct fuel.
She just makes no attempt to fire up and now is looking a costly garage job.
Booked it in for fault finding to be put on a computer for fault reading this week but need it towing.
Anyone have any other good ideals to try before she has to go to the garage?!
She was starting and running fine before and just leaving her over night Sunday and now she just doesn't want to fire over.
The engine is V6 so has fuel injection but it appears the engine is getting far to much fuel as she smells strongly of petrol in the oil cap.

I know nothing about cars but what you described sounded like my Clio. I had to put it into a garage and it was a 'faulty sensor' which wasn't sending/receiving accurate signals, which is why it just wouldn't catch and fire up no matter how long it turned over for.

Means nothing to me but once the sensor was changed, it's started first time every time, ever since.Herman - MP for all!

it smells strongly of petrol because it isnt burning petrol, its just sitting there being unburnt. probably because it isnt getting a spark, the occasional attempt to fire is due to the petrol being compressed.
check all fuses,if they are ok then your probably looking at a new ignition module....work permit granted!0 -

I am really at a loss now as to how to proceed forward.
The garage can't give me any ideal of price/hours it may take to find the fault and I don't want to go in to this without having some ideal of cost involved.
The car is no way going to start no matter how much I turn it over, discharging the battery twice and using a jumper start twice has proved that.
The smell of fuel on the oil cap and in the engine where the oil goes, is that normal?!
I have the Haynes manual but everything is on such a high level you need a really good know how and alot of special tools to even test anything.

Our post's crossed.
Least I now know why there is a smell of fuel there
I will check the fuses tomorrow and see if I can find any gone.
Would have to happen over winter and when it's dark early now

if you cant find any fuses gone and you take it to a garage then ask them to spend an hour on it to see if its anything simple. if it is then im sure they will find it within an hour....work permit granted!0

Have a look at www.fordmondeo.org As the name suggests, it's a website devoted mainly to Mondeos, with various subsections dealing with all sorts of problems. You can post questions, and hopefully, receive informed answers from specialists. Well worth a try, it could be something silly, you never know.0
