I gotta code for free eBid gold membership

There's a special offer available in the January 2006 edition of the Moneywise mag.
You can register for free as a gold member on eBid between 9th and 15th January 2006. This means you can sell items on eBid and pay no charges or fees. :j
The code is MONW01 and is open to all readers of the mag.
I'm not registered on this site, so don't know how good it is, but as it doesn't cost anything, I'll be trying it out.

Doesn't sound like it to me. The exact wording in the mag is:
To claim your free Lifetime Gold membership, register at eBid.co.uk and type in the code MONW01 into the 'Where did you hear about eBid?' box on the main registration form0 -
i did that but it still made me a bronze member?0

Can you open a new account and let your old one go? :rudolf:0

what's the site link?
================
It's ok - just found it - http://uk.ebid.net
Unfortunately, there's an extra regular subscription charge if you are a gold member, so you still end up paying charges one way or the other!

I don't know much more than I've already posted and will have to wait until 9th Jan to see how it works.
My guess, however, is that if you choose a new username (and possibly email address) you should be able to open a new account.
The website address is eBid.co.uk0 -

We have just joined Ebid as Lifetime Gold Membership for £1.99.
Intrigued what the other "regular subscription charge" you mention is as there is nothing detailed in our account and it certainly shows the £1.99 for Life!!
The only fee we have encountered in selling is a "posting" fee (not listing) and it was 5p. A lot less than what Ebay would have charged!!
We sold a few thing on Ebay and over 3 weeks, our Ebay costs were £96!!!!
Pity Ebid doesn't attract more traffic as the costs with selling are excellent.
Needless to say we have stopped selling on Ebay as got fed up lining Mr Ebays pockets!!The best things in life are free.....0 -

You may be right!
I just saw on site, that for gold membership there was a regular subscription charge - they never explained how much it was or for how long.
I guess if it's only £1.99 per year, it's really not such a bad offer afterall!!
I might move too - Ebay is killing me with fees!!!:mad:GoMakeDatMonee :cool:0
