Now that Jan 9th is here, I've registered okay - but only got silver membership free so far.

However, will have a look at my account again tomorrow (Tuesday) as there is a note saying that some updates take 12 hours.

if you sign in do you not get the offer of upgrading to silver for free (you do have to give your credit card details though - so i decided not to bother).

At least with ebay what you pay guarantees you the best price your going to get on an online auction - if you sell on ebid it may be cheaper but the price you eventually get will no doubt also be lower.

OK just to let you know this was an error however they are happy to honor it and if you email them you get this:

This offer ran through December but is no longer valid. Unfortunately due to
a PR mix up we are now receiving referrals from Moneywise.
However we intend to honour all referrals from Moneywise magazine therefore to
take advantage of this offer you should do the following:
Go to my Subscriptions and upgrade to Gold. Please then inform us by replying to
this email and we will refund the entire subscription amount of £44.99.

Let us know if we can be of anymore assistance.

To be honest if the support is anything to go on they appear good.

The way I look at it is they will grow, for now there many be a few bargins and might not be worth selling but when they get big I'm sure they wont give away gold lifetime memberships.

Update on the above, the above reply took just half an hour and refund took just two hours, very good service indeed. I now have a free lifetime gold account, Thanks OP.

Good support would for them to change the properties of the code so it offers free lifetime gold membership automatically, rather than charging you and refunding you - which seems a massive waste of time (not to mention the fact that they might "forget" to refund you).

I now have gold membership - had to go through a payment and refund but I'm happy and ready to start trading.
