MY budget is going really well (so far),I have only spent £30.18 this month :T I decided to start using up a lot of the food in the freezer that has been in there a long time  ,its amazing how much food is in there, :j I think I will be able to get away with spending less than £100.00 this month ,my budget was £200 for 5 adults and pets,so I will put the money saved towards a bill that needs paying. :T0

Week 2 already and so far have only spent £53.78 that leaves £146.22 for the rest of the month. Better go see what is at the back of those cupboards then! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

First chance to do any shopping this weekend. Good job I stocked up over Xmas I suppose. However, the freezer is still doing well, so hopefully it should be a small shop anyway.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Thanks - yes I think the tacos may be a bit stale! But I'm making a tomato/mince dish tonight so will check them then and if they are ok will throw some chilli in the sauce! If not we'll have lasagne!0 -
I am in the process of adjusting my housekeeping budget as my 20 year old stepson has moved back in with us & he eats huge amounts of food, for example his packed lunch consists of 6 slices of bread for sandwiches, large slice of cake, 3 pieces of fruit, 2 cooked sausages, packet of crisps, flask of tea & 2ltr bottle of fizzy drink.
Before Christmas, when we were really broke we managed of £25 per week for the 2 of us for a month. I'll let you know how I get on this month. The mind is like a parachute, it works best when open0 -

I hope this does not come across as being rude as is it not meant to. But:
I hope you are charging house keeping if he eats that lot. Unless he is in training for something or does a very physical job that to me seems like a lot for one persons lunch. Personally I would struggle eating that for all my meals in one day let alone at lunch time. I am no lightweight. And need to loose at least two stone. So I can pack food away.
My dad is farmer so out doing physical hard labour all day in all weathers and his lunch it is either a cooked meal or bowl of soup, two rounds of sandwiches be it cheese or ham, a piece of cake and then an apple.
Fizzy has no nutrition value what so ever and just rots your teeth off. Personally if he wants to have the fizzy and crisps I would make him buy his own. Espcially if it is something you would never buy in the first place.
I wish you luck.
Yours
