    To the OP...

Go to your local DVLA office and explain what has happened. They'll be able to check the insurance and MOT status on their computer as well as tell you where it was sent to.

    Thanks for a proper response,

I have i am awaiting their call but they have already told me they dont have record of where it was sent, i think i need to concentrate on getting new docs now, i have the Insurance doc, just MOT and V5 required now.

The MOT would have been ok if i have done it online but i dont have the info to do so asi didnlt have the V5 and so i would have had to produce a physical MOT.

    i cant get MOT without V5, cant get V5 without V5C ............

Not sure how you've managed to screw up all the quoting - what a mess (gave me a laugh anyway)

i havnt you cant read, you have already admitted that, I have simply quoted your last post - not too hard to grasp is it ?
Just to clarify one thing though (the rest isn't worth it)

What you are talking about isn't relevent 'the rest' happened to be what this topic is about so it is worth it - GO and start your own post if you want to talk about the honus of sending document at the time of buying / selling a car.

    -
I own several cars. I've traded one in and had one written off (not by me). All the others I still own. I DON'T SELL CARS! So I don't need to contact the DVLA as there is no risk of there being any other cars out there registered in my name.

Who wants to know any of this , why are you saying it ?? - You dont sell cars, almost correct, you get rid of them to other people and take their money but dont complete the transaction by changing owenership so no you probably havnt fully sold any cars you have let go of , i would be worried about that ! and no i dont and havce never thought you are a trader , i trader would have a bit more about him and i doubt they would be taken for a ride with a V5 issue

If you have nothinguseful to say why say it, do you ahve nothing to do other than annoy people who are trying to resolve important issues ?

Maybe you shoudl go contact DVLA and see how many car you think you have changed ownership form are still in your name, either or go awrite off another one of your vast fleet of cars that you find it very imortant to tell people you won , or failing that why not loose some weight tankerbell - we can all me uncoufed if we want !
You clearly do need to contact DVLA though to get your car problems sorted out. If you use the link I gave you, you'll find the section about what to do if you need to replace a lost logbook ;)

!!!!!! - READ , i contacted DVLA long before i posted here , that just tops it off ,m after about 7 posts your one bit of advice is about 2 weeks to late - oh dear , please dont reply again its unwelcome,

    Thanks !

were you near the horse when it kicked you???

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

you've attributed all the quotes to yourself and none to me

you can't see that i haven't sold any cars despite me telling you several times

i told you to go to your local DVLA office in post 8

and i'll reply to any thread i like thanks - tis my right.

Think i have misread this comment but thigs make more sense now - you have only owned a handful of cars - either very young or not experianced in used car sales - why did you think you had the knowledge to advise on such a subject, well you ahve annoyed me wasted my time and my effort - hope your happy as that surely seems to be the only reason your here.:T

I didn't say how many. I own about a dozen cars right now (and am looking at 2 more). Few more than a handful. ;) All mine, all registered. I'm 27, so have bought them in around 10 years. I know my way around the registration process!

I never said I was a trader! I don't work in the motor trade so I dunno where you got that from!:confused::confused:

You must be a riot at parties :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
