Abbey's Account now with Visa Electron

I cant see it, do you have to go all the way through the application form to get to it. Or is there another webpage I have missed.

not sure at which point it states it but its quite noticable and its a check box. If you ask anyone at Abbey they will tell you they can offer an upgrade every 6 months providing the account is ran how they want it! which is up to your imagination

Yeah, Abbey now do a current account with Visa Electron as they have stopped doing the Basic Account (BA) and will be gradually phasing them out.

I had the BA after my BR and Abbey told me if It was run Ok then I could eventually upgrade.

A year and a few months after the BR I now have an Abbey business Account with Visa Debit card and the Current Account with Visa Electron card.

If all goes well I think I can upgrade in Dec/Jan to a full on Visa Debit card on the Current Account. Ill also be enquiring about a £100 OD on both accounts in the new year.

Abbey have deffo been the company that have looked after my finances since the BR. The other banks that I approached didnt want to know!

i heard the same about them being awful, but if there is hope of people being upgraded to a visa debit card with cheque limit then it may be worth a shot.

They are currently integrating with A&L plus B&B.
A&L seem better than Abbey, so that should give you a hint of the service quality!
I think their logo means, out of the frying pan and into the fire.

just applied for an account so will se what happens! I like the sound of a review after 6 months! Ive been with the Co-op (Cashminder account) for 2.5 yrs and they wont entertain any request for a better account!

Has any one ever got an upgrade out of the Co-op or are they just happy making money out of people like me and not paying them any form of interest on in credit balance??
