Its possible that the program they used has effected the way the browser works
Run MALWAREBYTES

Then delete the cookies and try again:idea:0 -
full instructions for the above software
- Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
- Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
- When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
- When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:
- Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
- Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
- Then click Finish.
- MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan. If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself. Press the OK button to close that box and continue. If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
- On the Scanner tab:
- Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected.
- Then click on the Scan button.
- If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button.
- The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
- When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
- Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
- Back at the main Scanner screen, click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
- Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
- When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad.
- The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
- Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.

Ps, i also keep getting signed out from moneysaving forum
I also tried going back to check my emails but stillll get the message saying 'windows live has been updated so either refresh ur page, or sign in again'. Even if i do do that, i still cannot read my emails.0 -
Did you delete the cookies?
Which browser do you use?
If Internet Explorer then id suggest trying FIREFOX instead
Also, that was quite a lot of 'nasties' you got rid of. What firewall and anti virus software do you use?
Also, did you QUICK scan or FULL scan with malwarebytes? You really need to run a FULL scan with the lot you have there!:idea:0 -
You havnt INSTALLED anti virus 2009 have you? If so uninstall it now. Its not legit and has caused MOST of the trojans you have!:idea:0
-
oops...didnt delete cookies....i have now
I use IE.
And i did a quick scan...yes, i was thinking of doing a full scan now though.
I use AVG0 -
Which firewall do you use? If its the windows one, you NEED a decent 3rd party firewall (Sunbelt, Comodo or Zonealarm)
Its possible the program is accessing the net:idea:0 -
yup, i have windows firewall...whats the easiest and best firewall that i can download?
Had a look at comodo.....in the process of downloading at the moment....is it ok to keep the AVG...(i knw there are some programs that dont work well if you another software)0 -
All 3 work fine with AVG
I personally recommend sunbelt for ease of use and no known conflicts
I assume you have version 8 of AVG? If not then download the latest version.
UPDATE and FULL SCAN with it (Though do that tonight, AVG 8 takes ages to scan):idea:0
