My last two posts appeared contradictory. Sometimes constantly making the effort to make a person seem special becomes too much of a chore...

So a random hug for no reason, bringing a cup of tea unasked when you've made one for yourself or a quick text so the other knows you're thinking of them is a chore?:mad: It doesn't need to be chocs and roses everyday to let the other person know they're special.

If my ex OH had understood that he might not have become and ex (well not quite so quickly anyway:p )

Trouble is Buff, been there before!! Three times, all great for couple of months , then.... like I say 'am I that shallow'. Sometimes think I'm being cowardly or that I feel responsible for her wellbeing even if I dont feel that I can live with her ( Getting a bit deep here! )

For me, I've learnt it's the little things that really matter (as Luc described)......shame I don't get any. Sigh. The closest I got recently was offering 2 choices yesterday for dinner and the reply was 'they both sound nice'......I took it as a compliment for what little grasping of straw it was worth, even after I said 'thankyou' and got 'why are you thanking me - it wasn't meant as a compliment' when I explained.
