All this relationship talk makes me wonder if it ever works out for anyone. I mean I know two happy couples, and their secret - from the woman's point of view is accept that he will never change and give him sex when ever he wants it. She says its great cos he is really good in bed so I guess she is lucky! All the other couples I know seem to be a mass of compromise and seething resentment!

Although to be honest I would rather have a relationship to pick apart then be on my own all the bloody time!

I lost my reply but the essence was I would have packed and walked before he'd finished drawing breath! I know I'm lucky but I also know we both make an effort for each other!

Sometimes I despair of my fellow 'men'. So many that I know have similar problems so they go and get a fast car or a motorbike forgetting that if you want something hot and throbbing under you try paying a little attention to what you already have!!!

All it takes is respect an ability to compromise and a desire to make an effort so the other person feels special, even in little ways, every day.

Doesn't sound like much but it works for us even whether libidos are going through a high or a low.

Not 'entirely'....but on the other side of the coin, why does it take me being honest about being bored stupid in married life to suddenly get a huge increase in regularity/variety in sex....why does it take a threat to leave?
Or am I shallow enough to be kept in this way
