    She was born (in theory) around 1910, so the census isn't online yet. Are more recent ones available to the public?

    It occurs to me, Froddy, that she could have lied about her age to appear YOUNGER than she was (so Grandad didn't think he was marrying an old crock IYSWIM) and that is why birth cert was hidden/missing. I constantly lie about my DoB for much the same reason :rotfl: or to appear older as I said...I love a mystery, me.

    I'm off to make DH's lunch for tomorrow and make a start on a couple of bits from the list (just soaking the wm drawer and cleaning out the bin which we emptied earlier ;))

    I'll aim for Level 2 and see how I get on. I'm living in a building site instead of a house right now, so I'll have to actually clear the kitchen work surfaces to be able to clean them! ;)
