Justamum Be careful laying the carpet. Will OH not help at all?

No. He'd just look at it, keep tripping over it and cussing at it all the time (and helping me put it down wouldn't be any better - the air would be blue!) It's down now anyway. Not perfect but it's not supposed to be a fitted one so it'll do. Took me about 2 hours, then another half an hour trying to remember which wire goes where in the computer so I could report back:rotfl:. LO had taken herself off for a nap so she was luckily out of the way. I'm keeping the pieces which are left because I've heard they are good for stopping weeds growing (for when/if I get my new allotment). My nails were shredded so I've had to cut them off too. I won't be applying for a job as a carpet fitter any time soon.

I'm pooped now anyway, so I'm grabbing something from the freezer for dinner. I didn't get a chance to do any more patchwork, so I'll do that after dinner tonight - I need to clear my stuff off the table so we can eat.

Dashing off now to grab a coffee and finish off the packet of biscuits I started earlier :rotfl: Hey I deserve them after doing carpet laying :rotfl:

As proud as a proud thing :D

It was the church 100 club draw as well and Miss A drew out Daddy's number and won £50, how cool is that. Told her that it was Daddy's way of telling her how proud he is too.

Awww. How lovely. It brought a lump to my throat and a tear to my eye reading that.

Justamum(btw thats impossible, no mum is just a mum!)- I'm only technically studying, I need to be on one of the pharmacy courses for work (currently working towards my DA), but I don't actually have to complete it, there's no classes, no deadlines and as a result, I get nothing done!! Which, in a random turn of events, makes me feel guilty, coz I know others would love to be learning...It's okay, I know I'm weird!:rotfl:

My DH often has to go on H&S courses. Last week he had a four hour course on how to pick up a box. Bend your knees, keep your back straight (who does though? It's impossible to stand up doing it that way.) Maybe they spelt it out a letter at a time :rotfl:

Pigpen - they have to make everybody do the same otherwise it would be seen as "discriminating" against those who aren't as capable. Can't have winners and losers now can we?
  • Arrggghhh - got flightplan changed when lads delivered bedframe - decided I really should get bed set up, so started hunt for single bed-linens. Opened airing cupboard and was nearly concussed by avalanche of towels/loo rolls/orphaned socks etc etc. So I am claiming this as my grottiest cupboard. It is now nice and tidy (even if the linens aren't tied together with blue ribbon and a sprig of lavender LOL) AND I found what I was looking for, so the spare room bed is now made up and the room is neat and tidy!

Am now having a well-earned cup of tea before returning to my original flightplan. Filthy day here ........... rain, wind, cats are going loopy (they always do when the weather is like this!)

Monday Marvels - kitchen and dining room

clean the drawers and filters in the WM - goodie, I can use that Washing Machine Maintenance Liquid I bought!!

    [strike]deweb these rooms[/strike]

    Level three
[strike]wipe table and get out a new cloth if needed[/strike]
    [strike]
Clean out your grottiest cupboard!! It doedn't need to be like that
    [/strike]
