  • Good morning all!

Valli - I did drop in for a visit on the other thread, and I'm so glad you "dealt" with the obnoxious individual over there. Totally unnecessary and inappropriate. People come on MSE for help, advice and support, not criticism and put-downs! Well done, girl. :T

SummerMoon - so glad you've settled in and glad the family is happy. The cat will come round, I'm sure. I've changed my address 28 times, so still have all my packing cases - just in case! :rotfl:

DH did the BM last night, but DW unloaded, WM loaded. Cats fed. Still to do dogs and fish, but I am taking things gently.

Johanne - take care of your self. Weight loss is not a bad thing, but it shouldn't happen too quickly. You don't want to become unwell as well as stressed.

Michelle - so sorry about the cat problems, but know you will do the right thing, whatever that may be. Big hugs, hun.

Zaza - don't worry about not having anything interesting to say, some of us talk a load of drivel on here anyway (mostly Moi! :o:rotfl:) Enjoy the company! I do.

Lil_me - I've put my ID on the Facebook pages. (I have 135 in my Circle of Friends from MSE!)

Just going to take DS for work, 2nd week of work experience and he has coped really well.

    Later. x

Ok who wants to see my before/during/after photos for my dining room? It's not completely done though.

    Morning folks

Olde day names were often misspelt on birth / death certificates, they were on my grandma's and grandad's, I also got wrong my father's names on my marraige certificate, he is know by his middle name, i was so nervous that is what I told the registar, so she wrote it down, it was only some days later I noticed.!

Johanne you takecare and don't loose too much weight too quickly.

Michelle talk to the vet is the best thing, my 18 year old cat had fly strike, by the look on the vets face, I knew what was coming, the cat was just too old to look after himself, so I did what was kindest, hard as it was, but the cat just looked at me as if to say please help me, and purred and went very peacefully.

Lunchtime today, I am having an hours worth of housework, as got none done over the weekend.

I'm here all day so should be able to make a dent in this lot and still put the top coat on the new wainscotting/cupboard doors. The lads are picking up the bedframe from Aunty's flat this morning, so I have to wait in for them anyway.

Soappie (and any others having to drive in this foul weather) - safe journey, honey.

    Ah, well..........best get on!!

I'm in this week, and will tackle the kitchen later. I've got to work out how to get this piece of carpet down in the lounge. It weighs a ton! And I've got to shift all the furniture around to get it in, then cut it to size. The invoice says it's 11' 3" x 4m!!! I'll have to do it myself because DH won't bother and it will just lie in the hallway being tripped over.

I'm making a patchwork bag (backpack type) and I've made the front. I did the two halves for the back, and was going to sew the zip in when I discovered I'd done two right sides  so I spent two hours last night unpicking all the strips. So today I'm going to get on with that and finish it. Saturday is the day I have the lesson and it wasn't a good day - I forgot my sewing kit for a start
