Justamum probably try Early Learning Centre this set isn't just stables but is brilliant http://www.elc.co.uk/toy/farmyard-playset/ then extra horses are £3 I think then there is the 'Happyland' farm which of course she can add to with other Happyland sets http://www.elc.co.uk/toy/happyland-goosefeather-farm/ thinking shops because I know you struggle with delivery Lego Duplo does a lovely stable set which you can get in Hamleys http://www.hamleys.com/Horse%20Stable%204974%20+%20Hamleys%20Toys/567016,default,pd.html . With the horse riding I used to get free time by mucky out at a stable yard (aswell as cost my Dad believed horses shouldn't be used for riding so I did it in secret!)
Probably better offer for those if you have Boots over there.....
Both of those, Hamleys and ELC do cashback on Quidco but Boots (cashback on Greasypalm) have some Early Learning Centre stuff in their 3 for 2 offers too, http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=45788&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051 £3 cheaper than ELC do it for themselves....http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=43890&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051 they do the Duplo one on the same offer too but they are out of stck online at the mo, says stock coming soon....................and there is extra points weekends etc..............I have been doing way too much online shopping.
juliejim goodnight x
soappie well done with the new washer! That was quick!
SarahS pleased to hear your DD is on the mend, my sons been on meds that reduced his appetite, so I took him off them.
Kids settled a bit more so just editing this post, hate repeating myself. Anyway, I decided to go to Asda because I needed a few things for tomorrow. Asda because Durham itself was a nightmare to get through, someone decided to jump off the main bridge into the river, well actually I shouldn't say that they don't know if he was pushed yet, but anyway decided to go over the hills to Asda instead......kids behaved ok, not great but not too bad, spent less than I thought I would so that's not too bad. I need to finish unpacking the shopping in a mo.
Might watch Outnumbered before I do the shopping unpack, it's full of those lovely embarrassing things kids (and old people, Grandad is fab!) say which make me laughOne day I might be more organised...........

Now for the information request as I know some of you are in Hull - what was Sculcoates like in the late 1890's to say 1930's - agricultural or ?. Would a general worker have found work there during the depression when escaping London? Was it originally a very small village as I feel it may have been from limited information I have?
It was a smallish village on the edge of Hull.. it is now almost central.. and.. it is the bottom of my street. My husband had rellies living there then.. so if you come across any bizarre surnames they are us! lolLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I've got all the xmas stuff out that we have bought too so i will be trying to wrap the majority of that tonight, then i will know what we still need to sort. so nice to know i am not the only one holly
We've just finished dinner, salmon with roasted courgette and sweet potato, and a lemon, parsley and thyme stuffing, followed by fruit cake and custard. I have taken the sausages out for tomorrows toad in the hole, and got the BM on with a white loaf for tomorrow.
I need to get the WM on again tonight as DH wants some jeans doing, and then i guess we will stick the DVD on.
DS2 is currently awake. I can hear DH singing Jingle Jangle Scarecrow to him, and it is really making me chuckle. I don't think it will really make him sleep, but i will let him see first. I am mean.
ladyliberty meant to say earlier to you i am so sorry that your scan turned out that way. I am hoping you can have some peace this weekend and not be too stressed. I will be thinking of you.
GandB how's your DD tonight? I hope she is breathing more easily and out of the hospital. I dare say they will keep her as long as needed to avoid further health risks for her, but at least she is in the right place. Thankfully the police let you off for speeding to her.
Right, start with wrapping the new baby stuff i think, and then i will sort through the stuff and write it down, and then start wrapping. Wish me luck.

I really need to start some Christmas shopping next week. I haven't been able to up to now because we've had no money.
LO (age 3) wants a "house with horses" :rotfl: - she's been asking for one for months so will be really disappointed if Father Christmas doesn't bring her one. So does anyone know where I can buy a toy stable from?
I hope she never asks for horse riding lessons later in life as we won't be able to afford them. During the summer I took her to the Home of Rest for Old Horses (where the retired tram horses go). They are HUUUUUUUGGGGE - but she was happy to pat their noses and wanted to go into the fields with them . I didn't let her, I hasten to add. I'm not that bad a mummy :rotfl::rotfl:
Want a tip? Never go to stables! Instead ask around for anyone with a pony or child friendly horse near you. They are ALWAYS skint and usually more than happy to give a wee lesson or a pony trek once a week for a few quid. Especially look for those with little ponies and older kids, chances are they bought the pony for the kids who outgrew it but tehy keep the pony cos it's cheap to feed and they loves it.
*tia, who is being talked into getting a wee welshie for the kids by her Dad who allready has a horse of his own and is skint*:rotfl:0 -
Trainer flap - When the sole of your trainer starts to come away from the upper then this is known in the AnW household as trainer flap. If it actually starts to flap then it is regarded as dangerous and could cause a trip hazard for the wearer.
Remedy - remove said trainers never to wear again and replace with nice new shiny trainers
DH was always trying to claim trainer flap so he could have new trainers :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Aahhh!!! The things you learn on flylady :rotfl::rotfl:

I need a kick to go put away ALL the washing and make my bed then I can have a nice long soak in the bath (that no longer has bags of rubbish cos I put them all in the car) and I also should do the dishes too  waaaa!0

Just popping in quickly before the X Factor results.
More flying done tonight - heyyyyy I'm getting into this
Another washload sorted
Teas made, dishes done and kitchen tidied
HHI no 2 done - ironing is now all fitting in my new ironing basket - piled dangerously high  but it's in there :j
Enjoy the rest of the evening everyone - lots of hugs to everyone - especially LL; G&B and to those that need them
See you all tomorrow for more HHI :shocked:0 -
I must be the only one who sits up until early hours Christmas eve, well actually Christmas morning, wrapping stuff up :rotfl: I might try doing some a little earlier this year, I do think I might have some paper left, but I think it's in the loft with the decorations bag, so it'll need to wait until we get the tree anyway. I suppose if I have my proper list I can tick them off when they are wrapped.
Enjoying this quiet time watching the TV but more than aware I have bags to unpackboring, suppose I should start while they twitter on about the blasted doom and gloom of the economy on the tele...............getting a bit bored of it.
One day I might be more organised...........
