Craftyscholar - I have used various (Garnier Nutrisse, Nice 'n Easy etc). I would suggest you start with a shade a bit lighter than your natural hair colour, not hugely so, but if you are now a bit more grey than colour, to go the same as normal might look a bit drastic, unless of course, you want a big change like bright pink, or electric blue!:p.

Not so much 'bit more grey' more very grey!

Thrifty, how about using a semi to see what you would suit? Don't go too bright though.
craftyscholar - I do my hair at home - it's fairly easy. I use a plum shade but I do have very dark brown hair (mostly!!)
Thanks for all comments/suggestions. You are a great bunch:T

Well I was originally sort of mouse brown (apart from the years when I was auburn:rotfl:) so wouldn't go back to that and I don't have the nerve to go pink or blue. Probably go for light ash blond.

If I had gone that lovely white grey I would have been happy to keep it.

I must be the only one who sits up until early hours Christmas eve, well actually Christmas morning, wrapping stuff up :rotfl: I might try doing some a little earlier this year, I do think I might have some paper left, but I think it's in the loft with the decorations bag, so it'll need to wait until we get the tree anyway. I suppose if I have my proper list I can tick them off when they are wrapped.

Enjoying this quiet time watching the TV but more than aware I have bags to unpack :( boring, suppose I should start while they twitter on about the blasted doom and gloom of the economy on the tele...............getting a bit bored of it.

no i do this too, in fact, last year on CE was wrapping presents and decided i didn't have enough, so took pressies from B'day pile then went shopping after chrimbo to top up B'day and then i wonder how i have so many toys/carp..............
  • Evening All:hello:

Just thought I'd pop in & say Hi.

Have taken it very easy today, still in considerable pain but I did do the washing & have kept most of the clutter under control.
Watched Kung Fu Panda with DH this evening so that was a bit of light entertainment:T

Hugs to all & thanks again for all your good wishes, I'm going to try & get to bed, but finding it difficult to sleep, so may be back in the wee hours.

    xx

That's me - church, kids to bed, wine out start the wrapping and place under the tree as you go. I really am last minute lil.

:eek::eek: I could not cope with the stress levels! Plus I love wrapping but it has to be done MY way! DH learnt very quickly , he would take the kids up to his mum's while I wrapped, he wasn't bothered about doing any but always wrapped my pressies well. Other than that he would keep me supplied with drinks and sweets :D When he took the kids to his mum's he would ring before he set off back to give me a 15 min warning so that I could hide everything!

Evening all. Back from a long day out :D Didn't end up at the pub (looked through various pub windows instead to check on the match ;) ) as I went shopping instead - I came back with a diary for DD's stocking at a whole 99p:rotfl::rotfl: Could have easily come back with a DS for me, and over £50 worth of DVDs but I resisted ;) However I came back via the cinema - £6.20 to get in  But got a free meal in McDonalds (I had ages to wait for the film to start and McD's is the cheapest place to eat around there) for doing a survey :money:;):D Saw the new Bond film, but not impressed, especially since there was a number of kids messing around :mad:

Off to do some flying before the dishes take over the kitchen and the washing takes over the livingroom.:o:o

I'm pooped. All this running around, being efficient, not procrastinating etc. has taken its toll. I need to make my bed (sheets are now dry) then go lie in it.

Tomorrow, as I'm off to the dump anyway with the old washing machine, I need to see what else can fit in the car and that is worthy of a similar fate.

    Night night ladies.

PS - why, when I've had a lovely dinner of baked salmon, new pots and veg am I still hungry?

Right, now to decide whether to phone DiL's parents to see how her Dad is fixed to plumb it in tomorrow or just do it myself - what do you think girls? Is it easy to plumb these things in?

See, wrong again, you've gone and brought a new one... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's easy to plumb in if you can move it in and out from under the worktop ok. When you fix the pipes (usually two, but in new machines, I think they only have one for cold now?) just make sure they are really tight so they don't leak, as this is the only thing you really have to do (other than remove the moving bolts) and put the waste pipe in properly so that it doesn't pop out (done that - not good!!! )
