Im not happy so this may help hopefully. I can then get Business broadband through my company.
Do I need a MAC code when I leave the business broadband from BT?
Also does anyone have an email address I can address my problems to?
Thanks in advance0 -
I will be doing this also If I dont have any success with my complaints to BT head office in Durham, as having an absolute nightmare with them!!Im the same where the speed I was given just doesnt match what Im getting. I have just ran a spped test and got 1012kbps, this was below 1000 yesterday, i work from home and have been unable to work for four days now due to the slow speeds, my work phone is through my laptop so a slow speeds means either no dialling tone or a huge delay in the speech, like im making some dodgy international call. I am having no luck speaking to BT and have been trying to resolve this amongst other things for over a week,m I have only been with them for 4 weeks, and only using the services for two since it was all installed, and have spent over 8 hours on calls to them. I started a thread on here and had few good replies but nothing is getting sorted from BT's end.

ian.livingston@bt.com Thats the CEO, but to be honest he's as much use as the rest of BT, When you leave business broadband you will need to request a MACThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. the change in terms is as follows.... If you have BT broadband and cancel service without using mac than you will be charged £6.00 to cease your service.
From december 2 2008 the £6.00 charge increases to £18.51 one of charge.
the changes do not affect your service or any part of you original agreement with BT.
This is just a change made to charges to cancel the product on your line.

But these charges DO "affect your service or any part of you original agreement with BT". Particularly in the case of the OP, who intends to leave them, this change in T&C's is detrimental.

Its no good, The CEO gave me the run around and if he gives you the run around theres no point trying anyone elseThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I have just managed at long last to get them to cancel my contract free of charge and refund all charges i have made so far due to them mis selling me the product originally and charging me more than quoted, funny they still havent listened to the original sales call yet either but after 10 days of being given the run around and still not being able to work i had had enough. I even told the guy he would regret picking this call up today! But job done.
Now on hold to the vision side of it trying to get that sorted out!Wish me luck0
