Wait until you get start doing it for a living. Check the vehicle over before you start and find faults then your told do you want to get paid or not.
    Go and deliver the goods.

The issue is your liable, Your money and licence at risk. Life sucks as an HGV driver.

I dont see in your post where it says their vehicles are poorly maintained? As a part of the operating licence my old firm had to have the vehicles serviced/inspected every 6 weeks.

And if they are around the VOSA centres i doubt they will have unroadworthy vehicles.

Think thats a tad unfair ok peter was hawking his company but at least he is giving good advice "try before you buy" cant see anything wrong in that.

It seems the sort of company i would consider if i was to do my HGV /PSV Licenses all over again

Dont use companies in the East Midlands with the name Peter in them. They spam forums so one to avoid.

Thats a bit like saying dont use companies in Yorkshire with the name Sutcliffe in it because someone in yorkshire called sutcliffe murdered loads of women in the 1970s

What a load of twaddle, if you did some research you'll find he operates a highly regarded LGV training company and the advise he gave was spot on, albeit with a pointer towards his own company (naughty).
The thread may be years old but that advise will stand the test of time, I had a fella up for test last month who had lost £2000+ to a broker purely by not researching or following that advise.

Highly regarded or not. ITS SPAM.

Which to me doesnt point to someone i would highly regard.

Are you and he related? You may want to advise yourself to check the difference between advice and advise.

No I am not related, I have never met the guy to be honest.

I take your point with regard to advise/advice, one to many ciders... but at least I capitalised the word "I". Glass houses and all that.
